摘要: An electronic device and method for a variable rate compression of a point cloud geometry is provided. The electronic device stores a set of RD operation points and coding modes associated with the set of RD operation points. The electronic device receives a 3D point cloud geometry and partitions the 3D geometry into a set of blocks. After the partition, the electronic device selects a block and computes a set of loss values associated with one or more compression metrics. Such loss values correspond to a set of coding modes associated with at least a subset of the set of RD operation points. From the set of coding modes, the electronic device selects a coding mode for which a loss value of the set of loss values is below a loss threshold for that coding mode. Thereafter, the electronic device encodes the block based on the coding mode.

摘要: A Central Unit (CU) is connected to multiple Remote Radio Heads (RRHs) over a backhaul. The spatial separation of units creates long round-trip times, which are addressed in the present disclosure. The enhanced operation allows for counting down a BackOff (BO) on either the RRH side or on the CU side. RRHs that perform the BO procedure can resolve the issue of insufficient InterFrame Space (IFS) time for the RRH to obtain Data from the CU and to invoke a BO. In addition, RRHs that perform the BO procedures are able to reduce channel access contention when multiple RRHs are performing BOs, while utilization efficiency for the medium can also be increased by the improved synchronization of BO and Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) status between the CU and RRHs.

摘要: A method for predefining an entryway at a virtual boundary of an XR space contained within a real environment includes: accessing a spatial mapping mesh (SMM) for the real environment, and a sealed space mesh (SSM) for the XR space; analyzing polygons in the SMM and SSM to identify first subsets representing vertical surfaces and virtual wall boundaries respectively; filtering the first subsets according to first criteria to yield second subsets; colliding polygons across the second subsets to yield a third subset of SSM polygons; defining groups of connected SSM polygons within the third subset; and selecting one group as defining the entryway. The defining of the entryway is carried out in advance of user interaction with any virtual elements in the XR environment.

摘要: The Double Actor Critic (DAC) reinforcement-learning algorithm affords stable policy improvement and aggressive neural-net optimization without catastrophic overfitting of the policy. DAC trains models using an arbitrary history of data in both offline and online learning and can be used to smoothly improve on an existing policy learned or defined by some other means. 摘要: An enhanced method of handling block Acks, such as for latency sensitive traffic streams, for which a separate block Ack mechanism is established, which is separate from other traffic in the same TID. With this separate block Ack mechanism the recipient STA can have an independent receive reordering buffer control for latency sensitive traffic, so that the MSDU or A-MSDU of latency sensitive traffic can be passed to the next MAC process in order of increasing sequence number of the MSDUs or A-MSDUs since those MSDUs and A-MSDUs have the same QoS requirement, such as the latency time. This mechanism reduces the chances of latency sensitive traffic being stuck in a receive reordering buffer behind other traffic in the TID and having its traffic expire.

摘要: An artificial intelligent agent can act as a player in a video game, such as a racing video game. The game can be completely external to the agent and can run in real time. In this way, the training system is much more like a real world system. The consoles on which the game runs for training the agent are provided in a cloud computing environment. The agents and the trainers can run on other computing devices in the cloud, where the system can choose the trainers and agent compute based on proximity to console, for example. Users can choose the game they want to run and submit code which can be built and deployed to the cloud system. A resource management service can monitor game console resources between human users and research usage and identify experiments for suspension to ensure enough game consoles for human users.

摘要: Dynamic driving aides, such as driving lines, turn indicators, braking indicators and acceleration indicators, for example, can be provided for players participating in a racing game. Typically, driving lines are provided for each class of cars. However, even within a class of cars, each car differs enough that the ideal driving lines and breaking points can vary. Therefore, with an agent trained via reinforcement learning, an ideal lines and other driving aides can be established for every individual car. These guides can even be varied to account for variations in the weather or other track conditions.
