    摘要: A fracturing manifold module of a fracturing manifold system for controlling the flow of fracturing fluid from a shared manifold trunk line to a plurality of wellheads each adapted for fracturing a well. The fracturing manifold module includes a transport skid adapted to be ground supported and a flow control unit supported on the transport skid and including an inlet adapted for connection along an axis of the shared manifold trunk line, an outlet adapted for connection to one of the plurality of wellheads via one or more fluid conduits, and one or more flow control valves between the inlet and the outlet. The transport skid and the flow control unit are connected together to provide for rotation of the flow control unit relative to the transport skid in a generally horizontal x-y plane relative to the ground, said rotation being about a z-axis perpendicular to the x-y plane to provide for adjustable connection to the fracturing manifold system at one or both of the inlet and the outlet. Also provided is a fracturing system with a plurality of the fracturing manifold modules, and a method of aligning a fracturing manifold module for connection to the shared manifold trunk line.

    摘要: A ball injector for connecting below the frac head of a frac tree to accommodate and sequentially drop a ball into the axial passageway of the frac tree. The ball injector has an axial passage of an injector housing aligned with the axial passageway of the frac tree. A ball cartridge assembly stores one or more balls and sequentially delivers one ball to a port in the ball cartridge assembly. A ball launch side arm extends from the injector housing and forms a ball launch passageway communicating between the ball cartridge port and the axial passage. A first valve member in the ball launch passageway is opened to pass the ball into the axial passage, and is closed to isolate the ball cartridge assembly from a pressure in the axial passage. A second valve member between the first valve member and the ball cartridge assembly may be included to form a pressure isolation chamber between the valve members. Embodiments of ball cartridge assemblies to horizontally store a plurality of balls is provided. Also provided is a method of delivering a ball into a frac tree below the frac head, and a method of delivering and monitoring a ball progression into the frac tree, for example with a camera.

    摘要: An expanding gate valve and method is provided for bidirectional sealing capability against pressure, whether the direction of pressure is upstream or downstream. The bidirectional annular seat seals against the gate assembly against pressure from the normal wellhead direction, typically upstream. For sealing against pressure in the opposite direction, the seat is formed with an annular recess extending radially outwardly from the central bore of the annular seat so that a flex portion of the seat formed between the recess and the front sealing face of the annular seat at the central bore flexes toward the gate assembly against this pressure. The front face of the bidirectional seat forms a raised annular sealing portion on the flex portion of the seat adjacent the central bore to provide sealing contact with the gate assembly in the expanded condition when the flex portion flexes toward the gate assembly.

    摘要: The invention broadly provides a ram incorporating a thermoplastic seal for sealing in the horizontal bore of a wellhead production blowout preventer to close off the vertical bore of the well, the ram being adapted to seal at its front end against either a polish rod of a rod string, or against an adjacent ram. The invention also extends to a BOP including a pair of such rams, wherein, each ram includes (a) a body component with front and rear portions and ends, (b) a seal component with front and rear portions and ends, (c) the body component having an arcuate longitudinal outer surface for conforming with the horizontal bore surface, and having a cut-out in its front portion which provides a seal support surface to support the seal component in both a vertical and horizontal direction, (d) the seal component having an arcuate longitudinal outer surface for conforming with the horizontal bore surface, and an inner surface which generally conforms to the seal support surface of the body component, the body component and seal components combining, in an assembled form, to form a full bore ram body, which when out of sealing engagement has the front end of the seal component protruding a horizontal distance d beyond the front end of the body component, (e) connectors for connecting the seal and body components while allowing the seal component, during sealing engagement, to be pressed against the seal support surface of the body component, and (f) the seal component providing a sealing surface formed of thermoplastic material around the arcuate outer surface for sealing against the horizontal bore. Thus, as the body component is advanced forwardly into a sealing engagement causing the front end of the seal component to contact either the adjacent ram or the polish rod to seal off the vertical bore, the seal component is pressed against the seal support surface of the body component such that the thermoplastic sealing surface is compressed outwardly to seal against the horizontal bore.

    摘要: The invention provides a casing adapter tool which connects and seals to a casing pipe at its lower end and to production or service equipment at its upper end, and is used with well servicing equipment, such as is involved in fracturing. The casing adapter tool includes a generally tubular casing adapter body having an upper end and a lower end, and is formed with a central bore extending therethrough. The central bore provides a profile which forms a casing seal chamber at the lower end, and a barrier seal chamber located thereabove. The barrier seal chamber is formed with a profile to accommodate and seal to a first removable pressure barrier on removal of any well servicing equipment. Most preferably, the barrier seal chamber has a profile sized to provide full bore access to the casing pipe and to accommodate and seal to the first removable pressure barrier which is of a threaded, latched or snap ring type check valve or plug. The casing adapter body may also form a fracturing seal chamber in the central bore above or below the barrier seal chamber, with a profile to permit a fracturing isolation tool to be run in and sealed against the central bore. The casing adapter tool preferably includes a tubing hanger portion at its upper end, such that the tubing hanger can provide a second barrier, such as a check valve. The casing adapter tool thus provides a quick connection, seals and full bore access to the casing pipe. Once all well servicing equipment is removed, the casing adapter tool remains on the well and provides at least one and preferably two independent barriers between the well bore pressure and the atmosphere.
