Abstract:
A dental illumination system includes an adjustable self-supporting frame and a lamp head coupled to the frame. The lamp head includes a housing and a spacer having formations that is adapted to removably mechanically couple the lamp head to a reference device, again having formations, for facilitating illumination of a tooth by a light source contained within the lamp head. The spacer and lamp head may be formed integrally. If formed separately, both the lamp head and the spacer may include formations.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a retracting device for retracting at least a portion of a user's mouth. The retracting device includes formations, which may be inter-engaging and/or non-inter-engaging with other dental tools or apparatus. The formations are adapted for repeatably positioning a subject's mouth with respect to a light system, and/or an imaging film, and/or a dental tray.
Abstract:
Improved apparatus and methods for non-invasively assessing one or more hemodynamic parameters associated with the circulatory system of a living organism. In one aspect, the invention comprises apparatus adapted to accurately place and maintain a sensor (e.g., tonometric pressure sensor) with respect to the anatomy of the subject, including an alignment apparatus which is separable from an adjustable fixture. The apparatus moveably captures the sensor to, inter alia, facilitate coupling thereof to an actuator used to position the sensor during measurements. In a second aspect, improved sensor apparatus is disclosed adapted to minimize the effects of shear during sensor movement and monitoring as well as maximize the lateral and proximal search area available to the sensor within the apparatus. Methods for positioning the alignment apparatus and sensor are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Binders disclosed herein include a front cover, a back cover and a spine interconnecting the front cover and the back cover. The front cover includes a substantially transparent window integral with a first side of the front cover and an inner panel coupled to a second side of the front cover to form a pocket. Visual materials may be inserted into the pocket and be visible through the substantially transparent window.
Abstract:
A storage case has a plurality of walls surrounding an internal compartment, a door provided in a front wall for providing access to the internal compartment, a top panel for covering the internal compartment, and a removable table top assembly resting on the top panel. The table top assembly has a plurality of table top panels that are removably coupled together to form the table top assembly, and which are adapted to be stored in the internal compartment. The storage case further includes a base panel between the plurality of walls, and a set of wheels provided adjacent the base panel. A shelf may be provided in the internal compartment when the storage case is used as a combined storage cabinet and table top. The storage case is especially adapted for use in storing components are that used to assemble a modular display system.
