The cover is hollow and assuming a cap-shaped, and the cover and the insulative housing form a receiving space, one end of the cable and the contacts is received and connected electrically in the receiving space. One lateral side of the cable connector assembly comprises a hole, and the cable extends out of the receiving space through the hole.

摘要： A cable assembly for mounting to a panel, comprises a housing comprising a mating portion and a retaining portion extending rearward and outward from a rear end of the mating portion, the retaining portion has a receiving hole therein and a cutout communicated with the receiving hole. At least one key is formed on each of an upper surface and a lower surface of the mating portion. A plurality of conductive contacts are disposed in the housing. A positioning member mounted to the retaining portion of the housing defines an inner arm, an outer arm and a connecting portion connecting with the inner arm and the outer arm. The inner arm is disposed in the receiving hole and having a front end extending out of the receiving hole. The outer arm is located on a lateral side of the retaining portion and has a front end extending into the receiving hole via the cutout and is capable of moving the inner arm rearward to make the front end of the inner arm retracted into the receiving hole.

The insulator includes a front side, a rear side, a number of terminal passages (24) between the front side and the rear side, and a number of terminals (3) respectively mounted in the terminal passages, each of the terminals has a tail (33) extended out of the rear side of the insulator. The PCB is located behind the insulator and includes a number of first conductive pads (51) which connect with the corresponding terminals and a number of second conductive pads (52) which is soldered to a number of wires (6), the first conductive pads electrically connect with the corresponding second conductive pads. The wire management member is held by the insulator, and defines a number of wire management grooves (421) above the PCB and adjacent to the second conductive pads, the wire management grooves receives the corresponding wires for enabling the wires to be respectively soldered to the second conductive pads.
