摘要： A mobile device has a solar cell and a rechargeable battery and may be connected with an external power source. A method for a power control of the mobile device allows a continuous and reliable power supply through selective connections with the solar cell, the battery and the external power source. In one embodiment, if the battery is unavailable or absent, the mobile device executes at least one function thereof by using electric power supplied from the solar cell. In another embodiment, if the battery is available with the mobile device powered off, the mobile device charges the battery by using electric power supplied from the solar cell. In still another embodiment, if the battery is available with the mobile device powered on, the mobile device executes at least one function thereof by using electric power supplied from both the solar cell and the battery.
