摘要:
An early alert system and a related method for livestock disease detection are disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, an activity measurement zone (AMZ) is defined near an incentive device (e.g. food or water dispensing system) with an RFID tag reader, and an animal's entrance into or out of the AMZ is tracked and counted with an RFID tag attached to the animal. If the animals' activity relative to the AMZ drops to an alarmingly low level (e.g. dropping below an alert trigger point) over a period of time, then a user of the alert system is informed of a potential health problem with the animal and may also be encouraged to inspect the animal in person for further determination of its current health and potential medical issues.
摘要:
An intelligent fleet management system and a related method of operation provide a higher level of legal compliance and public road safety by requiring a commercial driver an electronic form of a driver's identification in a commercial vehicle. In one embodiment of the invention, the electronic form of the driver's identification is validated and additionally authenticated by a driver-specific PIN entry to a vehicle fleet management system interface device installed in a commercial vehicle. The vehicle fleet management system interface device can also communicate with a monitoring station via a data network for dynamically-generated alerts and periodic reports associated with vehicle speeds, driving pattern analysis utilizing various sensors, unexpected stops, and continuous driving which exceed a mandatory rest requirement. The monitoring station is able to disable the commercial vehicle remotely or take other actions based on an alert generated from the vehicle fleet management system interface device.

An early alert system and a method for livestock disease detection are disclosed. An activity measurement zone (AMZ) is defined near an incentive device (e.g. food or water dispensing system) with an RFID tag reader and/or an RFID antenna. An animal's access into the AMZ is tracked and counted with an RFID tag attached to the animal. If the animals' activity relative to the AMZ drops to an alarmingly low level (e.g. dropping below an alert trigger point) over time, then a user of the alert system is informed of a potential health problem of the animal and may also be encouraged to inspect the animal in person for further determination of its current health and potential medical issues. The early alert system may be powered by hybrid alternative energy sources for rural or remote areas, which may have inconvenient or expensive access to conventional electrical power lines.

A consumer-level food source information tracking and management system and a related method are disclosed. In one embodiment of the invention, a producer provides producer-specific and package-specific information for a particular food package to a consumer-level food source information tracking and management server. The consumer-level food source information tracking management server associates the producer-specific and package-specific information with a unique identifying code on a consumer-level food source information label attached to the particular food package. A retail consumer who uses a user interface device (e.g. smart phone, a computer) can operatively connect to the consumer-level food source information tracking and management server via a data network (e.g. Internet, LAN). The retail consumer may enter the unique identifying code on the consumer-level food source information label into the user interface device to access, review, and rate the producer-specific and package-specific information and share ratings and reviews with peers.
