    摘要: A continuous flow recycling cleaning system includes a canister containing a liquid cleaning solution, and a dispensing conduit for conveying the cleaning solution from the canister to a cleaning tool head for direct application to a carpet, upholstery fabric or other material at an application area. A recovery conduit is connected to the cleaning tool head for returning recovered cleaning solution, along with air and extracted soil, to the canister. The system includes at least one ozone injector selectively positioned along a fluid flow pathway that includes the canister, the dispensing and recovery conduits, and the cleaning tool head. The fluid flow pathway further can include a counterflow conduit and an ozone-introduction conduit provided solely for the injection of ozone. Each injector is coupled to an ozone generator, to combine the ozone with the cleaning solution flowing through the injector. A portion of the ozone is dissolved in the liquid cleaning solution for cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing the application area and interior surfaces along the fluid flow pathway. A surfactant is incorporated into the cleaning solution to improve the retention of dissolved ozone. A portion of the ozone remaining in the gaseous state sanitizes and deodorizes air within the system. The system includes an air exhaust, which can incorporate a filter for reducing ozone concentrations in the expelled air.

    摘要: A liquid recycling and filtering system is well suited for use in continuous flow recycling surface cleaning devices. The system employs a canister containing a liquid cleaning solution, and a cylindrical filter submerged in the liquid and defining a chamber containing a portion of the liquid. A liquid supply conduit withdraws liquid from the chamber and supplies the liquid to a cleaning tool head, where the liquid is sprayed upon a floor or other surface being cleaned. A counterflow conduit is coupled to the liquid supply conduit and to the chamber, for transporting liquid under pressure to a spraying assembly within the chamber. The spraying assembly includes a rotatable manifold and nozzles at opposite ends of the manifold. The nozzles spray the liquid in planar, fan-shaped patterns that impinge upon the filter over limited surface areas. Due to nozzle orientation, the sprays include tangential forces that cause the nozzles and manifold to rotate in the direction opposite to the forces, moving the sprays to cover the filter over sweep areas much larger than the initial impingement areas. A bypass valve along the counterflow conduit controls the liquid flow through that conduit and also determines the pressure of the liquid at the cleaning tool head. A vacuum line, open to the cleaning tool head and to the reservoir, is used to recover liquid and return recovered liquid and air to the reservoir at a location outside of the chamber.

    摘要: A portable extractor apparatus is shown which includes a wheel mounted base having a solution tank for dispensing and recovering cleaning solution. A cleaning head communicates with the solution tank and contacts the surface to the cleaned for dispensing and recovering cleaning solution. A fluid pump circulates cleaning solution in a path between the solution tank and the cleaning head. A vacuum motor provides a vacuum source for the cleaning head for suctioning the surface being cleaned. The solution tank has mounted thereon both an initial multi-component filter assembly which initially filters incoming solution being circulated to the solution tank and a distinct final filter component which removes smaller particles from the solution being re-circulated from the tank. The solution tank bottom wall has a profile which improves the efficiency of the final filter component.

    摘要: An apparatus for controlling a buffer adapted to transmit motion-involving video compressed by use of an intraframe compression coding technique employing discrete cosine transform and variable length coding to a constant rate channel, wherein a statistical feed-forward-based buffer control apparatus having a simple construction is combined with an existing statistical feed-back-based buffer control apparatus, thereby being capable of stably controlling a buffer even when a scene change occurs, and reducing the capacity of the buffer and the length of a tape needed. The apparatus includes an encoder for encoding input video data to be compressed, and a feed-forward-based division factor selector for receiving an output signal from the encoder, calculating the complexity of each frame based on the received signal, estimating the quantity of data to be generated by units of a predetermined number of discrete cosine transform blocks, and sending a division factor corresponding to the estimated quantity of data to the encoder.

    摘要: A continuous flow recycling surface cleaning device includes a cleaning tool head incorporating a nozzle arrangement to enhance surface cleaning and drying. The head includes a shell that engages a surface being cleaned to form an enclosed chamber. A partition divides the chamber into intake and evacuation compartments. A row of nozzles is mounted to the shell to spray liquid cleaning solution into the intake compartment. Air enters the receiving sector through slots near the nozzles and between a forward portion of the shell and the floor, and is drawn beyond the partition into the evacuation compartment by a vacuum source. Each of the nozzles generates a sheet-like, fan-shaped spray pattern. The nozzles are arranged to form adjacent spray patterns that overlap one another longitudinally (lengthwise of the elongate shell) but are separated from one another to avoid interference between adjacent spray patterns. In one particularly advantageous arrangement, the nozzles are angularly offset from the lengthwise direction to form parallel spray patterns that define air passages between them. The shell, particularly along and adjacent the surface being cleaned, is configured to promote air flow into the intake compartment while resisting air passage into the evacuation compartment.

    摘要: An adapter plate, removably mounted with respect to the cleaning tool head of a continuous flow recycling cleaning device, supports a fluid flow barrier. The barrier is formed of multiple resilient filaments parallel to one another and packed closely together to resist air passage through the barrier. The filaments are supported in cantilevered fashion, and are individually and locally deformable as the tool head is placed in an operating position near a floor or other surface to be cleaned. The barrier thus conforms to the topography of the surface being cleaned, to achieve a better seal. The barrier is used in combination with a more porous layer, e.g., a carpet tile or a less tightly packed filament arrangement, to channel air from outside of the tool head into an intake compartment while blocking passage to an exhaust compartment inside the tool head.
