    摘要: To prevent particles from infiltrating into a display apparatus, a liquid crystal display panel supporting member includes a first particle interceptor and a second interceptor. The first particle interceptor is formed along the top face of the first supporting member frame portion facing a bottom plate of a liquid crystal display panel that is to be mounted on the liquid crystal display panel supporting member. The first particle interceptor has at least two cut portions. The second particle interceptor is disposed between the cut portions to prevent particles from infiltrating into the first particle interceptor. Thus, the liquid crystal display apparatus may prevent deterioration of its display quality.

    摘要: A backlight assembly includes a receiving container, a plurality of lamps, and a diffusion plate. The lamps are received in the receiving container and are arranged substantially in parallel with each other to generate light. The diffusion plate on the lamps includes a plurality of light diffusing parts each having a plurality of embossed patterns corresponding to the lamps. Each of the embossed patterns has a circular shape or a polygonal shape in plan view and a substantially triangular cross-section or a semi-circular cross-section. Each of the embossed patterns is recessed or protruded from a surface of the diffusion plate to form a concave or convex shape, respectively. Therefore, a bright line of the backlight assembly is decreased to improve an image display quality of a display device.

    摘要: A flat panel display device including a protecting sheet for protecting an upper surface is disclosed. The flat panel display device includes an image display part for displaying an image and a protecting part for protecting an outer surface thereof. The image display part displays the image by varying a voltage applied to electrodes oppositely formed on inner surfaces of a pair of transparent facing substrate respectively to thereby turn on or off each pixel. The protecting part is disposed on an outer surface of the substrate perceived by user's eye from an external shock or foreign mailers. Accordingly, the flat panel display device strongly resist the external shock, and the foreign matters are easily remove from the flat panel display device. The anti-glare treatment is carried out on the protecting sheet to thereby prevent dazzling of users due to the reflection of the light.

    摘要: There is disclosed a backlight assembly for maximizing a light incidence efficiency by changing a construction of a light guide plate and a liquid crystal display device having the same. A light incidence surface of the light guide plate receiving a light from a lamp is inclined to make an obtuse angle with a light-emitting surface through which the light is transferred to the display unit. An open surface of a lamp cover that is disposed to face towards the light incidence surface is formed to have the same inclined angle as the light incidence surface of the light guide plate. In addition, a light reflecting plate and an optical sheet are respectively disposed on the top and bottom surfaces of the light guide plate, on which light absorbing layers, for absorbing light that leaks from the light guide plate, are formed at both ends thereof. Accordingly, there are advantages in that the light incidence efficiency of the light is improved even though a thickness of the light guide plate is not increased, and that it is possible to remove the light concentrated at an edge of the light incidence surface of the light guide plate.

    摘要: There is disclosed a backlight assembly for maximizing a light incidence efficiency by changing a construction of a light guide plate and a liquid crystal display device having the same.
