    摘要: In a thermal-transfer-type color printer, an ink ribbon and a paper are sandwiched between a thermal head and a platen roller so that a specific image is transferred onto the paper in a specific color. The platen roller is made by a rubber material which has a certain degree of hardness. On the surface of the ink ribbon, plural colors of ink are sequentially and repeatedly painted. Hence, after transferring an image onto the paper in one color, the paper is moved backward; and then, another image is transferred onto the paper in another color. Thus, a multi-color printing is performed. In order to avoid a color shade or an printing error, in which a printing position of one-color image does not accurately match with a printing position of another-color image, the paper should be accurately moved forward and backward. In order to do so, the thermal-transfer-type color printer provides a precise paper-feed mechanism which comprises a pinch roller and a paper-feed roller. Around a surface of the paper-feed roller, micro projections are formed in predetermined size and shape, so that the paper is certainly held between the pinch roller and paper-feed roller. The micro projections can be formed at a selected surface area of the paper-feed roller. Those micro projections are formed by carrying out an etching process using a masking pattern formed at a certain surface area of the paper-feed roller.

A mechanism is provided for automatically releasing pressure between the rollers and the platen, wherein a depression/release lever is provided with a cam disposed between supporting members of the pinch rollers, and the lever is actuated when a frame of the printing machine is raised to provide access to the machine, causing the cam to widen the space between the pinch rollers and the platen so that the crumpled paper can be easily removed.

    摘要: A thermal transfer type printer prints a desirable dot pattern on a printing paper by heating heating cells within a thermal head which is pressed against the printing paper via a transfer ribbon, the surface of which is painted by thermal melting ink. A memory stores two kinds of current-on time data, each of which represent specific current-on time characteristics designating a relation between the current-on time and a surrounding temperature of the thermal head. This surrounding temperature is detected by a thermistor mounted on the thermal head. One of two current-on time characteristics can be arbitrarily selected, and desirable current-on time is read from the selected current-on time characteristics based on the detected surrounding temperature. Some heating cells are selected in accordance with the desirable dot pattern and the selected heating cells are heated for the desirable current-on time. In addition, the current-on time can be arbitrarily set longer or shorter by increasing or decreasing the value of the current-on time data, whereby the printing density can be arbitrarily varied.

    摘要: An automatic fire extinguishing apparatus including a fire sensor, a swivel chamber and an expansible hollow rod secured to the chamber. When a fire is detected by the fire sensor, the swivel chamber is rotated about a vertical axis in accordance with the output of the fire sensor until the rod is directed to the fire source. Then a pressurized fire extinguishing agent contained in a bomb is introduced into the rod through the chamber to expand the rod toward the fire source. The expansion of the rod is stopped when the end of the rod is adjacent the fire source and the free end of the rod is opened, so that the fire extinguishing agent is discharged toward the fire source.
