    摘要: Described is a Single-Photon Avalanche Diode (SPAD) array microchip comprising: a plurality of SPAD sensors; and a triggering circuit configured to detect and read out the triggering order of SPAD sensors over a timing interval wherein the timing interval comprises one or more frames. An event based neuromorphic SPAD array microchip is also described. The chip architecture and triggering methodology takes a local group of SPAD sensors connected in a certain way and by using simple digital circuits emulating how neurons behave, patterns within a local receptive field are identified. Only when these unique patterns or features are identified are “events” triggered for each receptive field in the order they occur, or in an asynchronous manner. Each neuromorphic circuit (or collection of silicon neurons) act over overlapping receptive fields, and are tiled across the entire visual spatial field of the SPAD array to a form a convolution layer.

    摘要: A block chain data lake system comprises a data lake of a plurality of data files and software applications interfacing the data files. The system further comprises a block chain and block chain controller therefor. A transaction controller monitors transactions performed on the data files by functions of the software applications to add hashes to blocks of the block chain using the data files. A verification controller may verify data files by searching the block chain for hashes matching the data files. An authentication controller may issue cryptographic keys for software application, including specific functions thereof. A data migration system may migrate data from a legacy data system to the block chain data lake system. A synchronisation controller may synchronise data updated by software applications of the legacy data system in substantial real-time.

    摘要: A rescue package is disclosed which is sized for launching from a moving platform such as an aircraft. The platform having a chute adapted to launch a rescue package which in an embodiment uses a container the same size as a container used to house a convention sonobuoy. The rescue package arrangement includes a container body externally sized and shaped to be launched from a moving platform using a launch tube and contains a main parachute located within the container; a drogue chute associated with the container deployed after deployment from the moving platform and connected to the main parachute by a drogue chute tether; a decelerator chute connected to the container and arranged to deploy with or after the drogue chute is deployed, and a delay mechanism arranged to delay deployment of the main parachute for a period of time after the drogue chute is deployed from the container. The container is adapted to contain a payload including at least one of the group of items: inflatable life raft, potable water, long-life food, matches, handheld light sources, handheld beacons, handheld communication devices, cell batteries, rope, water proof sheet material, blankets, sunscreen, hats, insect repellent, containers, utensils, sea-sickness tablets, water bailer, sponges, and wherein the decelerator chute assists the stabilisation of the container during at least a portion of the flight of the container.

    摘要: A weapon system includes a cartridge and a fire control apparatus have been developed for generating a projectile with a selectable launch velocity. The cartridge includes multiple primers and propellant chambers which may be individually selected by the fire controller so as to fire the projectile at a selected launch velocity. Additionally after firing the selected primers and propellant charges, the fire controller sends a second firing signal to all remaining primers after a suitable delay. The second firing signal ensures that all remaining propellant is initiated and consumed, thus rendering the cartridge safe to eject. The delay between the first firing signal and the second firing signal is sufficient to allow the projectile to be expelled from the cartridge so that the launch velocity is not affected by the combustion of the remaining propellant.

    摘要: Some embodiments relate to an energy transduction device or apparatus. An example device or apparatus includes: a piezoelectric transducer; electrical conductors electrically coupled to the piezoelectric transducer; and an axially aligned magnet assembly arranged to apply static compressive force to the piezoelectric transducer, the magnet assembly being coupled to a base at one end and having a free opposite end. The magnet assembly is coaxial with the piezoelectric transducer and at least part of the magnet assembly is concentric with the piezoelectric transducer. The magnet assembly defines a gap between axially adjacent parts of the magnet assembly, wherein the gap is dimensioned to be sufficiently small that the magnet assembly applies a static compressive force to the piezoelectric transducer while being sufficiently large to allow for axial movement of the piezoelectric transducer without closing the gap.
