摘要： Method and apparatus for diametrically expanding a desired part of a metal shaft which can be a rod or a pipe, wherein the apparatus includes a driving rotary section (4) and a driven rotary section (6) arranged at a predetermined distance (D), each of the rotary sections (4) and (6) including a holder for holding a work, a pressing device (8) for pressing the work held by the holders along the length of the apparatus, and a biasing device (7) for declining the axis of the work, so that the work held by the holders at the distance (D) is rotated around its axis, and one of the holders is forced by the pressing device toward the other to carry out the diametral expansion, and then the work is bent back and straightened up.

The bed is divided into a front bed section and a rear bed section, and provided with a pivoting mechanism to pivot naturally and reversely when viewed from above the front bed section with respect to the rear bed section. The bed includes a handrail system comprised of a handrail provided on each of the left and the right side of the bed, with each handrail comprised of a front portion adapted to be fixedly positioned relative to a bed side, and a rear portion adapted to be pivoted inwardly, toward the patient supporting portion of the bed.

摘要： A movable bed vehicle which has a truck having rolling wheels with low centroid, a post erected at the longitudinal intermediate position at one side of lateral direction of the vehicle, an elevator provided adjustably at the post in such an elevationally movable manner, a bed frame having a longitudinal length at the elevator and a bend mattress, and mounted directly above the truck, a normally and reverely rotatably rotational shaft provided along the longitudinal direction of the bed frame for rotating by a handle the bed frame in a space of elevator side, a plurality of strips provided at a plurality of longitudinal positions of the shaft for towing the movable sheet on the mattress to the elevator side by normally taking up the strips, and another strips for towing the movable sheet until the elevator is extended to the opposite side from the mattress by the revere rotation. Thus, a physically handicapped patient who cannot move on the bed can be shifted at his sleeping position by one nurse or attendant, shifted on the bed mattress of the movable bed vehicle merely by operating the handle in an extremely simple and rapid work.

摘要： A wheeled stretcher for transferring and carrying a person lying on a bed, such as an invalid, is shown wherein the height of the stretcher is low enough to go under the bed. A lifting device narrower than the width of the wheeled stretcher is provided in the middle but at a position offcenter in a transversal direction of the wheeled stretcher which can be moved in both longitudinal and transversal directions. A bed frame is attached to the top of the lifting device at approximately the center of the wheeled stretcher, and a bed mat is placed on the bed frame. The surface of the mat is covered with a transfer sheet which can be moved across the bed mat. To transfer a person lying on a bed onto the wheeled stretcher, the stretcher is placed beside the bed, the bed frame is once lifted over the bed, then is lowered onto the bed. Then the transfer sheet is moved to a side of the lying invalid person who is then put onto the sheet. The sheet is then moved to the original position at the center of the bed mat. With the lifting device which moves the bed frame up and down positioned to either the right or left side, the bed frame can be overlapped deeply with the bed.

摘要： A posture change-over device is designed so that the posture of the head supporting frame when the back supporting frame is raised and pivoted can be selected from two postures; a posture where the head supporting frame is kept horizontal and a posture where the head supporting frame and the back supporting frame form one plane. Therefore, in the latter case, the bed can be used in the same manner as previous beds capable of raising the upper body, and in the former case, a user can raise his/her upper body without dropping the pillow or articles even when he/she raises his/her back.
