The intra-seal case region (A1), in which sealing rings (31, 32, 41, 42, 51, 52) of mechanical seals (3, 4, 5) are provided, and the high-temperature fluid region, which is an intra-apparatus housing region (A), are partitioned by a cooling chamber (28) into and from which coolant (82) is supplied and discharged via feed/discharge coolant paths (80, 81).

    摘要: A computing and communication architecture utilizes a serial protocol based switched fabric among circuit cards housed in packaging arrangement. In one embodiment, each circuit card connected to the serial protocol based switched fabric in the packaging arrangement is provided with a protocol processor that enables all of the circuit cards to efficiently provide packet-based serial self-clocked communications at line speed. As a result, it is not necessary to arrange the circuit cards in a hierarchical manner in order to address the problems of switch blocking and related traffic congestion issues that would otherwise limit the implementation of the serial protocol based backplane arrangement for housing circuit cards.

    摘要: A segmentation method and system for medical images of a structure, including at least one substructure are described herein. Examples of such structure and substructures are a vertebra and its spinal canal or a sacrum with its two foramens. The method consists of first providing a plurality of digital images representing consecutive slices of the structure. The set of images is then divided into groups for which initial substructures center position are estimated. Using this information, the pixels corresponding to each substructure and common to all the images in the group are determined. Iterations are performed between these two last steps until the best candidates are obtained. The method consists then in estimating the substructures center position in each image of the group. After the substructures have been identified in each image, the images are then processed to remove noise in the substructures, in the rest of the structure and outside the structure.
