    摘要: Disclosed is an oil separator built-in scroll-type compressor which is compact and lightweight but still maintains the required strength, and which exhibits an excellent oil separating performance. The oil separator built-in scroll-type compressor includes a separation chamber which is disposed adjacent to a discharge chamber, and which separates an oil-containing gas introduced thereinto into gas and oil by centrifugal separation, and from which the separated oil is dropped downward and the gas is extracted upward; and a communication hole between the discharge chamber and the separation chamber through which the oil-containing gas is introduced from the discharge chamber into the separation chamber. The oil separator is formed as a joint structure comprising a fixed scroll element forming member and a compressor casing, and a bottom plate of the fixed scroll element forming member is formed in such a way as to be thinner at the part where the separation chamber is formed than at the part where the discharge chamber is formed.

Gas is efficiently discharged from the portion of the oil storing chamber where the lower hole of the oil separator is not opened, a sufficient amount of stored oil is secured in the oil storing chamber, and in addition, workability in production of the device is improved.

The housing cooperates with the end plate of the fixed scroll to form a discharge passage communicating with the scroll compressing mechanism and a discharge port connected to the higher pressure side portion of an external coolant circuit. The discharge passage is provided with a first discharge chamber opposing the center portion of the end plate of the fixed scroll, an oil separation chamber communicating with the first discharge chamber and opposing the outer peripheral portion of the end plate of the fixed scroll, and a second discharge chamber communicating with the oil separation chamber and opposing the outer peripheral portion of the end plate of the fixed scroll. A through hole is formed in the housing to extend from the outer surface of the housing to the second discharge chamber through the discharge port, thereby placing the discharge port into communication with the second discharge chamber. A closing member is disposed to close the end of the through hole on the side of the outer surface of the housing.

The oil separator built-in compressor comprises: a separation chamber arranged adjacent to the discharge chamber and formed entirely thereof into a space in order to separate an oil-containing gas being introduced, centrifugally into gas and oil so that the separated oil flows downward whereas the separated gas is released upward; and the communication hole formed between the discharge chamber and the separation chamber in order to introduce the oil-containing gas from the discharge chamber into the separation chamber. The oil separator built-in compressor is characterized in that the oil separator is formed of the joint structure of two members for constituting the compressor, and in that a portion of the inner wall face of the communication hole is formed at a position farther from the joining face of the joint structure than the inner wall face of the separation chamber.
