    摘要: A multihead type image recording apparatus is provided. This recording apparatus includes a single position detector and a position correcting circuit. The position detector detects positional components of an array of laser diodes of each of recording heads in an X-direction parallel to a traveling direction of the recording heads on a recording medium and a Y-direction perpendicular to the X-direction to determine an inclination of the laser diode array. The position correcting circuit adjusts the inclination of the laser diode array of each of the recording heads to a given common angle to compensate for a positional error in the X-direction of the laser diode array, and also controls timing of activation of the laser diodes to compensate for a positional error in the Y-direction of the laser diode array.

    摘要: A color image recording apparatus comprises edge detection device with image sensors for detecting longitudinal edges of electrostatic recording paper, and mark detection device for detecting registration marks formed at an equal pitch along the edges of the recording paper. Both edges are detected at a first pass thereof through the edge detection device, and the detected output is stored in a memory. During each of second and subsequent passes, detected data is compared with the initially stored data to correct for expansion and shrinkage of the recording paper. Oblique motion of the recording paper is detected from the timing difference between registration marks formed on opposite sides of the recording paper, which timing difference is used to change line recording timing. A single correction is periodically repeated and changed until completion of the correcting for oblique motion of the recording paper as well as expansion or shrinkage thereof, hence ensuring an exact positional coincidence of the individual color images.

    摘要: A color image recording apparatus records a composite color image composed of a plurality of superimposed images of different colors on a recording medium. Each latent image represented by an image signal is formed in a first image recording medium on the recording medium, and then another latent image is formed in a second image recording medium, following the first image recording area, of the recording medium. Then, the latent image in the first recording medium is developed into a visible image by a developing unit with a developing solution containing toner particles of one color. When the recording medium is fed along, toner particles in any residual developing solution left in the developing unit are attracted to the latent image in the second image recording area of the recording medium.
