摘要： A quiet nacelle system for jet aircraft engines includes a nose cowl and nose dome having a sound-attenuating liner, a concentric ring between the nose cowl and nose dome, and fan duct components having a sound-attenuating liner. The system is particularly suitable for JT3D-3B and JT3D-7 engines for use with DC-8 aircraft. The components may be combined as a hush kit for retrofit in existing nacelle systems.

摘要： A snap action toggle valve actuator assembly for use in a fluid holding tank. Movement of a float or other movable actuating element causes pivotal movement of pivot arm, which compresses a spring. When the float element reaches a predetermined level, the spring causes a downward movement in linkage attached to the rear of a valve actuating lever and an upward movement of a valve rod secured to the other end of the valve actuating lever and vice versa.

摘要： Glass sheets of unequal thickness are tempered sequentially on one tempering line by employing a lightweight heating furnace within which each glass sheet may be brought up to a thermal condition suitable for tempering by a two-stage heating cycle which differs from one glass thickness to another. Also disclosed are means for temporarily adapting a conventional tempering line for carrying out such a process.
