摘要： An umbrella has a mechanism for latching and releasing a slider (8) which tuates the umbrella canopy framework as it slides to and fro along a stick (12). The slider is fixed in the closed position by means of a latching bolt (18) which is mounted in a handle (1) and has a latching nose engaging in a notch (8b) in a guide sleeve (8c) of the slider. The slider is released by pressing a button (15) which causes the bolt (18) to slide transversely to the axis (X) of the stick against the action of a spring (17).

摘要： A shortenable umbrella with frame or blade parts carrying the umbrella canopy in opened condition, the frame parts being shortenable at least by a factor of two by telescoping or folding, of which the innermost parts are pivoted on a crown secured on a shortenable rod assembly and are horizontally pivotable by means of at least one slider by means of at least one set of forks, whereby each outermost blade part is hinged foldable on the adjacent blade part by means of a control rod which acts on an extension of each outermost blade part. A control piece is formed as a slide hinge which is displaceably guided on the fork, the slide hinge being articulated on the middle hinge by means of a connection portion spaced from the articulation point of the fork. The inner end of the control rod is articulated pivotally on the control piece, the movement of the fork actuating the control piece.

The latter is as little as possible longer than the distance between its pivot point on the fork and the pivot point of the fork on the associated corresponding blade part.

According to our invention these undesirable influences are prevented in a particularly simple way and/or are compensated when the contours of the rolls in the initial state and/or unloaded state of the rolling mill are such that the sum of the roll body diameters at each relative axial position of the rolls varies axially from a constant value.

摘要： The rolling mill has two working rolls and at least two supporting rolls. At least both rolls of one roll pair are axially slidable opposing each other and each of the oppositely slidable rolls has a curved contour extending over its entire length which is convex over one longitudinal half segment and concave over the other longitudinal half segment. The contours of both rolls of these roll pairs complement each other continuously in one definite axial position. So that the occurence of increased load points and moreover as a result increased pressure at the contacting positions of the working rolls and the supporting rolls is prevented, the curved contour of the roll body at the free end of the concave longitudinal segment of the roll body extends to the body edges in an at least partially cylindrical longitudinal segment.

摘要： A mechanism for releasing the slider (4) of an umbrella frame, has a trigger sleeve (8), which cooperates with a locking member (6) of the slider and is axially movable in or on a handle (2) of the umbrella against spring action to move the locking member out of its locking engagement with in the slider. In order to simplify the release for clumsy or ignorant umbrella users or for foolproof operation, there is arranged on the trigger sleeve a secondary trigger which may be pressed radially inwards either manually or upon axial displacement of the trigger to move the locking member out its locking engagement with the slider.
