    摘要: An electrical connector (1) comprises a dielectric housing consisting of a first housing (10, 52) and a second housing (40, 51), a spacer (20) assembled at a bottom of the housing and a plurality of circuit boards (30). The housing defines a plurality of parallel channels (15) extending in a mating direction of the electrical connector. A plurality of bumps (106) extends downward from an upper wall of the housing in alignment with the channels for abutting against with an upper face of a corresponding circuit board. The spacer consists of a plurality of identical wafers (21) thereby each two adjacent wafers defining a slot (200) to receive a corresponding circuit board therein. Each wafer has a dielectric base (22), a plurality of terminals (23) attached on a first side of the dielectric base to electrically connect with a corresponding circuit board, and a grounding bus (24) mainly attached on an opposite second side of the dielectric base.

The connector (1) includes a top housing (11) and a bottom housing (12) and inner circuit boards (3) installed therebetween. Rows of paired signal contacts (5) and grounding plates (4) are arranged in an alternating sequence within the bottom housing (12) to engage with the inner circuit boards (3). Two projections (37) extend out of edges of every inner circuit board (3) so that the inner circuit board (3) can be positioned after the projections (37) are inserted into corresponding holes (15, 19) formed respectively in the top and bottom housing (11, 12) when the connector (1) is assembled.

    摘要: An electrical connector (1) includes a number of individual wafers (21) assembled together to define a number of slots (200) therebetween for receiving a number of circuit boards (30) in the slots. Each wafer includes a dielectric base (22) and a number of signal contacts (23) and a grounding bus (24) respectively mounted on opposite sides of the dielectric base. Each grounding bus has a number of flaps (247) adjacent to a bottom edge thereof. Each signal contact has a tail portion (232) for electrically engaging with a printed circuit board on which the connector is mounted, and an end portion (236) located near the tail portion and aligned with a corresponding flap of the grounding bus. The flaps are disposed between the end portions of the signal contacts of adjacent rows for functioning as shielding between the end portions, thereby ensuring better signal transmission performance of the connector.

A number of circuit boards (30) is disposed between the housing and the spacer. Each circuit board has a mating portion (300) aligned with a corresponding channel of the housing, and a mounting portion (302) received in a corresponding slot of the spacer. The mounting portions of the circuit boards mechanically and electrically engage with the signal terminals and the grounding buses and do not have an engagement with the dielectric bases of the spacer.

An oblique score (15) is defined between the curved connecting portion of each contact and a corresponding connection stem of the carrier. The contacts can be easily separated from the carrier by bending the connection stems of the carrier along the oblique scores.

    摘要: An electrical connector (100) includes an insulative housing (10) having a slot (12), a row of low-speed signal contacts (18) and an insert module (16) received in respective opposite sides of the slot. The insert module has two rows of high-speed signal contact modules (40) confronting the row of low-speed signal contacts. The insert module is pivotable in the slot from a first position, where the connector is ready for receipt of a daughter board (70), to a second position, where the insert module and the row of low-speed contacts sandwich the daughter board therebetween. The electrical connector provides a pair of actuators (208) pivotably located at the top of the insulative housing. In the second position, the actuators abut against the back portion of the insert module to pivot toward the daughter board, thereby ensuring electrical connection between the high-speed contacts in the insert module and the solder pads on the daughter board.
