The delivery system includes a carrier having a surface, an active compound comprising small molecule compounds or peptides for use as an analgesic encapsulated into the carrier, and a glutathione or a glutathione derivative grafted on the surface of the carrier. The invention also provides a method of analgesia including conducting the active compound to a subject.
