A toner including a core particle containing a thermoplastic polymer material and superparamagnetic ferrite fine particles having a particle diameter of less than 100 nm which adhere to the surfaces of the core particle is manufactured by directly forming the superparamagnetic ferrite fine particles having a particle diameter of less than 100 nm on the surfaces of the core particle so that the superparamagnetic ferrite fine particles having a particle diameter of less than 100 nm are not in contact with each other. As a result, the toner is prevented from being scattered due to the influence of a magnetic field, so that a high quality image is formed.
