The backplate preferably comprises at least one ventilation groove formed on its inner surface and extending to the edge of the backplate, which allows air to pass between the user and backplate easily.

摘要： A power tool is provided with a prime mover which causes the tool to rotate and a housing which houses the prime mover. In a back-end face that is positioned on an opposite side on the housing from a tool side, a back-end groove, into which a user can position his/her web between his/her thumb and forefinger, is formed. A pair of side-face grooves, into which the user can place the thumb and forefinger, are formed in both side faces of the housing. A depth changing portion is formed in at least one of the side-face grooves, such that the depth is reduced toward the back-end face of the housing. According to this structure, even when the housing is gripped directly from the back-end face, the user can easily draw up or raise the power tool.

摘要： Tightening tools is provided with a pair of clutch members disposed between a motor and a tool bit. The pair of clutch members is provided with a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion. The first engaging portion is constructed so as to disengage the pair of clutch members when the torque applied to the tool bit is equal to or above a first predetermined value. The second engaging portion does not engage the pair of clutch members while the first engaging portion engages the pair of clutch members and the second engaging portion engages the pair of clutch members after the first engaging portion disengages the pair of clutch members. The second engaging portion is constructed so as to disengage the pair of clutch members when the torque applied to the tool bit is equal to or above a second predetermined value. The second predetermined value may be different from the first predetermined value.

A power tool for performing a predetermined operation by driving a tool bit includes a tool body 101 and a handgrip 103 formed on the tool body 101. The ribs 117 extend along a contour of the grip face in a longitudinal direction of the handgrip, and in the circumferential direction of the handgrip 103, each of the ribs 117 has a ridged shape which is engaged in one direction but not engaged in the other direction with balls of fingertips of at least third to fifth fingers of the user's hand.

A grip to be held by a user of the power tool is defined by the housing and the cylindrical cover. A plurality of projections are formed on the outer surface of the grip in a circumferential direction of the grip and that each projection extends between the housing and the cover in the longitudinal direction of the power tool.
