    Abstract: A driver drill allows smooth change of the drive conditions of a motor. The driver drill includes a motor, an output unit located frontward from the motor and rotatable with a rotational force from the motor, a trigger lever operable to activate the motor, a forward-reverse switch lever operable to change a rotation direction of the motor, a first operation member operable to change a drive condition of the motor, a second operation member located upward from the first operation member and operable to change the drive condition of the motor, and a controller that sets the drive condition of the motor in response to an operation on at least one of the first operation member or the second operation member.

    Abstract: A power tool and method for recording and playing back a motor parameter. The power tool includes a housing, a motor, a trigger, and a controller. The trigger outputs an activation signal based on a user input. The controller receives a user mode selection signal indicating a selected mode. The controller enters the recording mode when the user mode selection indicates the recording mode, and records a motor parameter to generate a recorded motor parameter. The recorded motor parameter covers a first time period in which motor is operating in response to depression of the trigger, a second time period in which motor is inactive in response to release of the trigger, and a third time period in which motor is operating in response to another depression of the trigger. In the playback mode, the controller operates the motor based on the recorded motor parameter upon receiving the activation signal.

    Abstract: A power tool may include an end effector configured to enable a fastener to be applied by the power tool via a fastening cycle, a power unit, a drive assembly configured to apply drive power to the end effector responsive to application of input power thereto, and a motor configured to supply the input power to the drive assembly selectively based on operation of a power control assembly that controls coupling of the motor to the power unit. The drive assembly includes a clutch configured to interrupt application of the drive power at a target torque. The power control assembly may be configured to adaptively change speed of the motor in response to the power tool reaching a predefined torque value that is less than the target torque during the fastening cycle.
