摘要: A method of determining an inclination angle of a rectangular image frame read by a microfilm reader at high accuracy. The method is characterized in that the inclination angle of the bottom side line of the image frame is detected to determine the inclination angle of the image. In a preferred embodiment, the bottom side line is discriminated by comparing the projected lengths of the two side lines opposing to the bottom side of the display screen of the microfilm reader, and the side line having the projected length greater than the projected length of the other side line is discriminated as the bottom side line of the image frame.

摘要: A print control method for a microfilm reader enlarges a recorded image on a microfilm to the size of an original copy and projects the image on a screen; detects a black frame from an array indicated by image signals which are obtained by being binarized; selects one or more images from the entire area of the images; modifies images other than selected image to black frames; erases the modified black frames; enlarges the selected images at a magnification which can be arbitrarily set; and prints them out. The entire enlarged and projected image without any missing parts is included in the display area of the screen without making the screen too large. If plural images are contained in the display area of the read image, or if part of an image is outside of the display area, it is possible to output only the required images by extracting them and erasing unnecessary images together with the black frames. Moreover, paper can be efficiently utilized by arbitrarily changing the print magnification. In an embodiment where the selected image is enlarged to the maximum size that fits a predetermined print paper size, and printed out on the paper of this size, the image can be made easy to view, and the image can also be efficiently utilized. An apparatus suitable for this control method is also provided.

摘要: A compact reader/printer that has an electrophotographic copier which copies image data recorded on a recording medium on a copy medium for enlargement. The optical path extending from the recording medium is guided by a mirror to an exposure surface. The mirror is provided in inclination to the exposure surface at a location close thereto. The reader/printer is advantageous in that the illumination toward the exposure surface is made uniform by a filter, a mirror for varying reflection by location, a partial shading plate or the like. They are inserted in the optical path to diminish the intensity of light in the region where the distance between the mirror and the surface is narrow.

摘要: An improvement of microfilm camera with a marking device in which an image of a document is photographed on a roll film mounted in a cassette using a slit exposure system and a two-dimensional digital image of a mark is recorded on the roll film. The microfilm camera comprises: an image taking lens for forming the image of the document on the roll film; a mark taking lens having an optical axis inclined in the length side direction of the roll film with respect to that of the image taking lens; and a digital image generator for generating a one-dimensional digital image extending in the width side direction of the roll film and formed by said mark taking lens at or in close vicinity of the image forming position of the image taking lens. The two-dimensional image of the mark is recorded on the film by changing the one-dimensional digital image synchronously with traveling of the film. With such construction, the size of a photographic opening provided in the cassette can be reduced to made the cassette structure simple. It is unnecessary to provide a complicated synchronizing mechanism for setting mark projecting or recording timing.

摘要: There is provided a document reader system for reading images of a large number of document papers while continuously feeding the document papers from an auto-feeder to a scanner so that image data read by the scanner can be supplied to a computer, which can easily meet various requirements of different users, easily satisfy a user having only a scanner and planning to purchase a microfilm camera additionally, reduce space needed for installing the whole system without providing double auto-feeders and stackers for the scanner and the microfilm camera, and which allows makers to easily provide various types of systems to meet user's requirements. The system includes a turn unit removably attached to the scanner so that the document papers passing through and ejected from the scanner can be returned to a stacker provided in the scanner. Each device portion of the system is formed as a unit so that various types of document reader systems can be obtained by combining necessary units.

摘要: An image processing method and apparatus capable of sufficiently emphasizing binary density image area without deterioration of the image quality of a gray-scale or middle tone image area. During image processing, a density A.sub.0 of a center pixel is converted into a density A!.sub.0 by the formula; A!.sub.0 =A.sub.0 +K.sub.1 .times.(.vertline..SIGMA.(A.sub.0 -A.sub.i).vertline.-K.sub.2).times..SIGMA.(A.sub.0 -A.sub.i) wherein A.sub.i is a density of peripheral pixels surrounding the center pixel and K.sub.1 and K.sub.2 are constants, respectively.
