摘要： A system and method store provisioning data supporting a plurality of service providers in a VSIM internal memory unit of a mobile device. A user may selectively enable provisioning data supporting one of the plurality of service providers stored in the VSIM internal memory unit to conduct a wireless communication. An embodiment permits backing up, retrieving and restoring personal data in the VSIM internal memory unit using a remote database. Another embodiment allows a mobile device to select an optimal service provider to conduct a wireless communication. The optimal service provider may be determined based upon mobile device location, communication usage request and/or time and date.

摘要： A pulse detonation combustor includes at least one plenum located along the length of the pulse detonation combustor. The plenum can be located: 1) proximate an air valve; 2) between a fuel injection port and an ignition source; 3) downstream of both the fuel injection port and the ignition source; and 4) proximate an exit nozzle of the pulse detonation combustor. In addition, the pulse detonation combustor can have multiple plenums, for example, proximate the air valve and proximate the exit nozzle. The location and dimensions of the plenum can be selectively adjusted to control mechanical loading on the wall, the velocity of fluid flowing within the combustor, and the pressure generated by the pulse detonation combustor.

The user preferences and settings may be default preferences and settings selected by the various applications loaded onto the mobile device or previously user preferences and settings selected by a user. User selected preferences and settings may be stored in a remote server memory. The preferences and settings may be retrieved by new mobile device. The preferences and settings stored in the remote server memory may contain triggers which initiate a connection with various third party servers. In response to the trigger, various third party servers may transmit further instructions to the mobile device which allows the mobile device to complete the restoration of the user's preferences and settings.

摘要： A pulse detonation combustor is provided with a fuel-air mixer located upstream from a detonation chamber. A fuel-air mixture exits the fuel-air mixer and enters the detonation chamber, where it is ignited by an ignition source. The flow from the fuel-air mixer passes over the surface of a center body, which extends downstream from the fuel-air mixer. The surface of the center body contains at least one turbulence generator, which imparts additional turbulence in the fuel-air mixture passing through the chamber. The turbulence generator aids in the mixing of the fuel and air of the fuel-air mixture to enhance the deflagration to detonation transition within the pulse detonation combustor.

摘要： A swirler having cross-sectional area comparable to the area of a detonation chamber is placed upstream of the detonation chamber to enhance the fuel-air mixing. The swirler has a first region and a second region, each of which induces swirl in the flow through the swirler. Each region induces a different direction of swirl in the flow. The residual net swirl present in the flow downstream of the swirler is controlled by the relative properties of each region of the swirler. The swirler also provides high optical blockage to inhibit the upstream propagation of flow due to the detonation shockwave.
