Abstract:
An applicator nozzle may comprise an attachment portion configured to attach the nozzle to a receptacle configured to contain a product and an arrangement of at least two teeth disposed so as to form at least one row comprising first and second end teeth. At least one of the teeth of the arrangement may define a channel configured to be placed in flow communication with product contained in the receptacle. The channel may open on an exterior of the at least one tooth via at least one outlet aperture facing substantially in a direction of at least one adjacent tooth. The nozzle may further define at least one groove and the outlet aperture may open into the groove. The groove may extend from the outlet aperture substantially to a free extremity of the at least one tooth. The arrangement may be formed by a single molded piece and may be configured so as to present an obstacle to product flowing from the at least one outlet aperture beyond the first and second end teeth.
Abstract:
A device for holding a lock of hair is provided. The device includes a base portion for resting on the scalp; a holding portion arranged to hold a portion of the lock in a substantially upstanding configuration between the holding portion and the scalp; and a link portion connecting the base portion to the holding portion and configured in such a manner as to allow access to the portion of the lock.
Abstract:
A device for application of a hair product includes an applicator portion configured to be loaded with hair product and at least one finger fastener associated with the applicator portion. The applicator portion may include a container and be configured to apply the hair product to at least one strand of hair in response to manual pressure exerted on the container when the device is moved longitudinally relative to the strand of hair. The finger fastener may be configured to allow the device to be fixed to at least one finger of a hand.
Abstract:
The present application relates to a device for dispensing product and a related method of using the device, the device comprising a flexible walled pouch configured to contain product. The pouch may be in fluid communication with an airless pump equipped with a dip tube having a free end that lies substantially mid-way along the axial height of the pouch. The pouch may be in a container.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of a device for applying a product are discloses. The device may include a support member and at least two separate applicator members extending from the support member. The applicator members and the support member may be defined by a single piece of material. The applicator members may include a first applicator member extending substantially rectilinearly along a principal lengthwise axis, and a second applicator member comprising a base portion extending in a direction substantially parallel to the principal lengthwise axis, and a terminal portion extending along an intersecting axis that intersects with said principal lengthwise axis. Moreover, a mold for making the device and a method of making the device are disclosed.
Abstract:
A dispensing device for dispensing a product includes a first chamber configured to initially contain at least one of a first composition and a mixture of the first composition and a second composition, a second chamber configured to contain the second composition, a flow passage for providing flow of the second composition from the second chamber to the first chamber, and an actuator configured to be actuated to cause an amount of a product to be dispensed from the first chamber. The product dispensed includes at least one of the first composition, the second composition, and the mixture of the first composition and the second composition. The device is configured such that in response to the product being dispensed from the first chamber, an amount of the second composition flows from the second chamber to the first chamber via the flow passage.
Abstract:
A valve element may be configured to be mounted in an air intake passage of a container. The valve element may be at least partially elastically deformable. The valve element may include a valving member configured such that, when vacuum pressure inside the container is less than a predetermined threshold differential from atmospheric pressure, the valving member is in sealed contact with a seat formed on the container. The valving member may also be configured such that the valving member moves away from the seat when the predetermined threshold differential is reached, so as to allow air to be taken into the container. By elastic return, the valving member may return to a position in sealed contact with the seat when the vacuum pressure inside the container drops back to less than the predetermined threshold differential. The valve element may be placed in a functional configuration via an elastically irreversible modification thereof during mounting.
Abstract:
An applicator is provided for applying a hair product, for example, a hair coloring product in the form of a gel or of a cream. The applicator includes an array of brush members, such as teeth or bristles, on an application face. The application face is preferably impermeable to the hair product and is capable at least temporarily holding the product that is to be applied to the hair. The application face has a stepped profile with at least two discrete levels so that contact of the application face with the hair, and movement thereof between the roots and the tips of the hair, generates on the hair a coloration pattern which is formed of at least two locks of hair having different degrees of coloration.
Abstract:
A dispensing head for dispensing a product, for example, a cosmetic product, includes a body configured to mount the head on a container containing the product, an actuator that allows a dispensing element on the container to be actuated and an outlet configured to be placed in flow communication with the dispensing element to deliver a dose of product from the outlet. The dispensing head further includes a cover element configured to cover the outlet when the dispensing head is in a storage position. A removable cap is configured to be placed on the body, the cap including a portion that engages with the cover element to retain the cap on the body.
Abstract:
A dispenser for containing a product stored under pressure, for example a cosmetic product, and dispensing it, is provided. The dispenser includes a container containing a pressurized product with a valve. The valve includes a valve body, an inlet orifice and an outlet orifice, and a closure member for selectively placing inlet orifice in flow communication with the outlet orifice to cause the product to be dispensed through at least one dispensing orifice, in response to actuation of the closure member. The valve body is located outside the container. The communication between the inlet orifice and the outlet orifice is caused by pressure exerted on the closure member.
