Abstract:
The present invention provides a process for determining the smoke content of an edible oil of a given amount, which comprises heating the edible oil to a temperature necessary to generate smoke; collecting the generated smoke by sulfuric acid; and determining the smoke content of the edible oil by colorimetry through comparing the color index of the collected smoke in sulfuric acid with the pre-established calibration function representing the relationship between the color index and concentration of the edible oil smoke in sulfuric acid.
Abstract:
An apparatus for programmably converting the operating voltage of a CPU & chipset by means of the firmware programmably setting the operating voltage, instead of by means of adjusting jumpers, is disclosed. The apparatus includes an address decoder unit, a programmable data memory, a DC to DC converter and a feedback resistance switching circuit. In operation, the computer inputs an address signal and a data signal required for changing the operating voltage to the address decoder unit. After being decoded, the data is written into the programmable data memory. Then the programmable data memory outputs a selection signal to change the internal resistance of the feedback resistance switching circuit, thereby to convert the output voltage of the DC to DC converter.

An integrated capacitor including a semiconductor substrate is disclosed. An outer vertical plate is laid over the semiconductor substrate. The outer vertical plate of a plurality of first conductive slabs connected vertically using multiple first via plugs. The outer vertical plate defines a grid area. An inner vertical plate is laid over the semiconductor substrate in parallel with the outer vertical plate and is encompassed by the grid area defined by the outer vertical plate. The inner vertical plate consists of a plurality of second conductive slabs connected vertically using multiple second via plugs. A horizontal conductive plate is laid under the outer vertical plate and inner vertical plate over the semiconductor substrate for shielding the outer vertical plate from producing a plate-to-substrate parasitic capacitance thereof. The inner vertical plate is electrically connected with the horizontal conductive plate using at least one third via plug.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for switching the operating frequency of a computer host board by setting on a screen of the computer is disclosed. The apparatus and method use a frequency selection controller, instead of a switch or jumper selector used in a conventional apparatus and method, to control a frequency doubling factor required for the CPU and system chip set and a frequency selection signal output to a frequency generator. The switching operating frequency method is accomplished by manually activating the system to enable the system firmware to set a frequency doubling factor and an operating frequency when the system is powered up, outputting an address signal including the frequency and a frequency to be switched by a data/address bus after the system firmware sets the frequency doubling factor and the operating frequency, and decoding the address signal and locking the frequency data, whereby to change the frequency doubling factor output to the CPU and chip set and a frequency selection signal output to a frequency generator.
