摘要： Provided are a backlight unit and a display apparatus including the same. The backlight unit includes a bottom cover, a substrate, light sources, light guide panels, at least one reflective member, and an optical sheet. The substrate is in the bottom cover. The light sources are on the substrate to emit light at an orientation angle from a first direction. The light guide panels include a light incident part having a light incident surface to which light is incident in the first direction from the light sources, and a light emitting part that emits the incident light in a second direction crossing the first direction and has a side connected to the light incident part. The reflective member includes a reflective region overlapping the light guide panel and an extension region that does not overlap the light guide panel. The optical sheet is above the light guide panel.

摘要： Provided is a display apparatus. The display apparatus may include a display panel and a backlight provided adjacent the display panel. The backlight may include an optical sheet provided adjacent the display panel, a reflector provided a prescribed distance from the optical sheet, at least one light emitting device provided adjacent the reflector, and a lens provided over a corresponding the light emitting device. The lens may include a lower recess formed on a bottom surface of the lens and provided a prescribed distance over the light emitting device, and an upper recess formed on a top surface of the lens and provided to vertically overlap the bottom recess. The lower recess may include an upper surface that extends from the side surface and having a prescribed shape and curvature. The upper recess may also include a lower surface having a prescribed shape and curvature.
