    摘要: A stereoscopic imaging system to prevent deterioration in brightness and optical characteristics due to deviation of an optical axis upon formation of a stereoscopic image is provided. The stereoscopic imaging system includes a stereoscopic image display device to output linearly polarized light, a phase difference plate provided at a front surface of the stereoscopic image display device and which converts the linearly polarized light output from the stereoscopic image display device into circularly polarized light, and liquid crystal shutter glasses having a phase difference plate attached to a front surface thereof and which restores the circularly polarized light having passed through the phase difference plate into the linearly polarized light. Upon formation of a stereoscopic image, the liquid crystal shutter glasses may restore light output from the stereoscopic image display device without loss.

    摘要: An image display apparatus comprises a plurality of light sources, each of which outputs light having a different color than the other light sources, and a digital micro mirror device (DMD) panel having a plurality of mirror elements. The plurality of mirror elements reflect light output from the light sources in one of a first direction, for displaying an image, and a second direction different from the first direction. The apparatus further includes a detecting part which detects the quantity of light reflected in the second direction by at least one mirror element of the DMD panel, and an adjusting control part which determines the quantity of light output from the respective light sources based on the detection by the detecting part, and which adjusts light output of the light sources based on the determined quantity of light output from the light sources.

    摘要: A projection apparatus including a light source which generates light beams, an optical projection system which projects the light beams generated by the light source onto a screen, and a reflection device which is positioned between the light source and the optical projection system. The reflection device includes a plurality of mirrors capable of reflecting incident beams generated by the light source to travel toward the optical projection system. The projection apparatus also includes an optical illumination system which is positioned in an optical path between the light source and the reflection device and is tilted or decentered with respect to the optical axis of the light source to allow light beams generated by the light source to enter the reflection device at a predetermined angle. Since the optical paths of the optical projection system and the optical illumination system can be separated from each other by installing lenses in the optical illumination system, it is possible to manufacture the projection apparatus through a simple assembly and improve optical efficiency and a contrast ratio.

The light reflected from the convex reflecting surface and then refracted through the concave refracting surface propagates along a path that is different from a path of the light emitted from the illuminating lens.
