摘要: A method for remanufacturing an engine block is provided. The engine block includes a damaged area on an inner surface of a cylinder. The method includes removing a first liner from the cylinder. The first liner includes a first inner diameter defined by a first inner surface and a first outer diameter defined by a first outer surface. The method includes removing material from the damaged area on the inner surface of the cylinder. The method also includes providing a machined surface on the inner surface of the cylinder. The machined surface defining a machined diameter. The method further includes inserting a second liner into the cylinder. The second liner includes a second inner diameter defined by a second inner surface and a second outer diameter defined by a second outer surface. The second outer diameter is equal to the machined diameter.

摘要: A cylinder structure of a vehicle engine comprises a cylinder block including: a block cooling water inlet formed on one side surface of the cylinder block and introduced with cooling water from a water pump; and a block cooling water outlet formed on a rear surface of the cylinder block and having the cooling water discharged therethrough. A cylinder disposed inside the cylinder block, and a water jacket is formed between an inner circumferential surface of the cylinder block and an outer circumferential surface of the cylinder to flow the cooling water therethrough. A block insert is inserted into a lower portion of the water jacket to guide the flow of the cooling water.

摘要: A wet cylinder liner for internal combustion engines may include a cylindrical body composed of a ferrous alloy having a circumferential outer surface. The cylindrical body may include a first layer and a second layer disposed sequentially on the outer surface. The first layer may include at least one of at least one silicon and at least one two-component epoxy adhesive. The second layer may include a silane-elastomer compound. The silane-elastomer compound may include nanoparticles of silicon oxide and an adhesion modifier additive. The second layer may be configured as an interface between a cooling fluid and the first layer, as well as to resist erosion by cavitation. The first layer may facilitate an interface for resistance at high temperatures.

摘要: A cylinder liner assembly is disclosed for use with an engine. The cylinder liner assembly may include a liner having a hollow generally cylindrical body extending from a top end to a bottom end along a longitudinal axis, and an internal annular cuff ring groove formed at the top end of the liner. An internal surface of the internal cuff ring groove may include a metal spray coating having a thermal conductivity that is less than a thermal conductivity of a base material of the liner to act as a thermal insulating layer. A cuff ring may be disposed within the internal cuff ring groove at the top end of the liner in contact with the metal spray coating. A seal may be disposed around an outer circumferential surface of the liner approximately in axial alignment with an internal axial end of the internal cuff ring groove.

摘要: A cylinder liner associated with an internal combustion engine includes a cooling moat to reduce temperatures at an upper cylinder liner seal. The cooling moat may have a gap extending upwardly toward an inner running surface of the cylinder liner to supply coolant to an upper portion of the cylinder liner. The cooling moat may be provided at a location between the inner running surface of the cylinder liner and a groove for the upper cylinder liner seal.

摘要: A control valve for a lubricant nozzle for cooling a piston of an internal combustion engine includes at least one passage opening through which lubricant can flow, a control part which is movable in a respective movement direction and which, as a function of its position, forms an opening cross section with the passage opening for at least partially opening up or for closing off the passage opening, and an actuation part which moves the control part as a function of a pressure of the lubricant between at least one first position in the presence of a first pressure, a second position in the presence of a second pressure and a third position in the presence of a third pressure of the lubricant. The second pressure is higher than the first pressure and lower than the third pressure, wherein the opening cross section formed in the second position is larger than the opening cross sections in the first position and in the third position.

摘要: An engine has a cylinder head with a deck face defining first and second chambers adjacent to one another and separated by a bore bridge. The body defines a first cooling jacket and a second cooling jacket configured to operate at a lower pressure than the first cooling jacket. The first cooling jacket is positioned substantially between the deck face and the second cooling jacket. The first cooling jacket has a series of passages intersecting the deck face and configured to receive coolant from a cylinder block cooling jacket. The second cooling jacket has an inlet passage intersecting the deck face adjacent to the bore bridge and configured to receive coolant from the cylinder block cooling jacket to cool the bore bridge.
