摘要: A fuser allows a sheet medium on which a toner image has formed to path through while heating the sheet medium, thereby fusing the toner image on the sheet medium. A plurality of first rollers are arrayed in a first direction. A plurality of second rollers are arrayed in the first direction and respectively coming in contact with the first rollers with a first pressure. The second rollers are adapted to eject the sheet medium nipped between the first rollers and the second rollers to the outside of the apparatus in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A plurality of third rollers are arrayed in the first direction so that each of the third rollers is disposed between adjacent ones of the first rollers, the third roller adapted to be brought into contact with the sheet medium with a second pressure which is smaller than the first pressure.

摘要: The quality of an image recorded on electronic paper is improved. Specifically, electronic paper for displaying an image is supplied in a region in which an electric field is generated in the thickness direction of the electronic paper, the electronic paper having charged color particles and being used for displaying an image as a result of charged color particles migrating in the thickness direction. Voltage for generating an electric field in the region is controlled by a voltage control section so that the value of the voltage varies together with time. The quality of an image recorded on electronic paper can thereby be improved.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes: a latent image carrier on which an electrostatic latent image is formed; a developing section which develops the electrostatic latent image using a liquid developer, forming an image on the latent image carrier; a transfer medium to which the image on the latent image carrier is transferred; a first transfer member which transfers the image on the latent image carrier to the transfer medium; a second transfer member which transfers the image on the transfer medium to a recording material; a latent image carrier cleaning roller which, as well as making contact with the latent image carrier, forming a nip having a first nip width in a moving direction of the latent image carrier, has a latent image carrier cleaning bias applied thereto, cleaning the latent image carrier, the image of the latent image carrier on which has been transferred to the transfer medium; and a transfer medium cleaning roller which, as well as having a transfer medium cleaning bias applied thereto, cleaning the transfer medium, the image of the transfer medium on which has been transferred to the recording material, makes contact with the transfer medium, forming a second nip width, which is larger than the first nip width, in a moving direction of the transfer medium.
