    摘要: A coating resin that is thermoplastic, exhibits good appearance, solvent resistance and adherence and is excellent in abrasion resistance; and a coting liquid or coating film thereof. In particular, a (meth)acrylic copolymer resin (A) produced by radical polymerization of 4 to 50 mass % of (meth)acrylic acid (a-1), 0.5 to 17 mass % of (meth)acrylamide (a-2), and 35 to 95.5 mass % of a compound having reactive unsaturated bond other than the compounds (a-1) and (a-2). With respect to the coating film produced therefrom, both the glass transition temperature Tg1 measured by means of a rigid-body pendulum type viscoelasticity measuring instrument and the glass transition temperature Tg2 measured by means of a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) are 110° C. or higher. The coating film is an abrasion resistant film whose abrasion resistance measured in accordance with the Taber abrasion testing method is 80 rotations or greater.

    摘要: Metallic coat finishing with good gloss vividness is provided by undercoating a liquid coating containing a specified thermosetting vinyl copolymer and a metallic appearance imparting pigment, overcoating a thermosetting, clear powder paint and then baking the two coated film together. The specified thermosetting vinyl copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing N-alkoxymethyl(metha)-acrylic amide, a hydroxyl group containing vinyl monomer, a carboxyl group containing vinyl monomer and copolymerizable other vinyl monomers in specified amounts.

    摘要: A resin composition of the present invention is obtainable by adding a photo-polymerization initiator (d) to a resin solution (a) containing a modified product of a thermoplastic resin (A). The modified product is prepared by conducting radical polymerization of the thermoplastic resin (A) with a (co)polymer (B) of a copolymerizable monomer (C) comprising a monomer having an α,β-mono-ethynically unsaturated group, or the monomer and other copolymerizable monomers in a weight ratio (A)1(B) of 1/9 to 9/1, in an organic solvent, or by conducting polymerization of a copolymerizable monomer (C) comprising a monomer having an α,β-mono-ethylenically unsaturated group, or the monomer and other copolymerizable monomers in a weight ratio (A)/(C) of 1/9 to 9/1, in an organic solvent in the presence of the thermoplastic resin (A), and then conducting radical polymerization thereof. A paint including the resin composition and a process for forming a coating film are also disclosed.
