    摘要： Plastic housing and base construction, especially for compact fluorescent lamps and operating units thereof comprising a housing (1) which is a cup-like body and a base (2) having a metal base shell (26) and at least one metal central (3) or end contact part (4, 5). The base shell (26) is electrically insulated from the central (3) or end contact parts (4, 5). The base (2) also includes a plastic insert body (20) which is open at its upper end and closed at least partially at its lower end. The diameters of the plastic insert body (20) decrease in at least one step and it has a cylindrical or slightly conical mantle portion (24) in the region of its upper end. The base shell (26) includes a thread-free opening portion (27) the inner diameter of which fits to the mantle portion (24) of and is pulled over and fixed to the plastic insert body (20). The metal central contact part (3) or each end contact part (4, 5) is fixed to the lower end of the insert body (20) which has a rim (22) at its upper end for connecting to the housing (1). The housing in turn has a connection end (11) for receiving the insert body (20).

    摘要： The invention relates to a single-ended discharge lamp comprising a discharge tube bordering a discharge space and sealed in a gas-tight manner at its ends and also comprising electrodes, wherein the discharge tube has at least two straight tube portions and a bent connection member between at least some of the adjacent straight tube portions. The bent connection member has an arc-shaped outer and an arc-shaped inner bordering wall, an indentation narrowing the cross-section of the discharge space is formed in the outer bordering wall and the bent connection member has bulged dome portions between its ends connecting to the straight tube portion and the narrowing indentation. The solution is characterized in that the largest cross-section (A2) inside the tube wall of at least one of the dome portions (11d) is at least 1.8 times but at maximum 2.2 times the smallest cross-section (A3) inside the tube wall between the arc-shaped inner bordering wall (11b) of the bent connection member (11) and the narrowing indentation (11c).

    摘要： The invention relates to the discharge tube of a compact fluorescent lamp which discharge tube, being sealed hermetically and provided with appropriate fill, comprises at least two tube portions connected with each other, and electrodes are placed at the ends of the first and last tube portions, and lead wires protrude through the glass wall of the discharge tube to the electrodes. The invention also relates to a method for closing at least one of the tube portions forming a part of the discharge tube of a compact fluorescent lamp. The essential feature of the discharge tube according to the invention is that at least one of these tube portions is closed by a curved surface having tangents which, starting from the axis of the tube portion and extending to the cylindrical wall thereof, make a monotonously decreasing angle with the axis of the tube portion.
