The semiconductor transient protection device being an integral portion of the lamp base. A first terminal of the semiconductor transient protection device in mechanical and electrical contact with the neutral contact, a second terminal in mechanical and electrical contact with the line contact, and a third terminal in electrical contact with a lead-in wire. The semiconductor transient protection device configured to isolate the line contact from the neutral contact during a first line voltage input, and to provide a low-resistance shunt path between the line contact and the neutral contact during a second line voltage input.

摘要: A Handy Base Station (HBS) which is capable of connecting through a base portion into a power socket (e.g., lamp socket). The HBS may have a plurality of functional modules capable of being detachably mounted in a housing. One of the functional modules may be a light emitter such as a light emitting diode (LED). Another module may be a communication module which may communicate using a wire line or wirelessly using standard wireless communication protocols. Further disclosed is a combination unit which has the HBS located on a pole such as a utility pole with a landing pad for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to allow the UAV a recharging location between deliveries and to allow the HBS to guide the UAV on its flight.

摘要: Disclosed is a lamp block comprising a lamp which is a glass tube having an internal final end and an external final end, wherein said internal final end ends with an electrode that fits directly into a connector placed on the machine into which said lamp is mounted and said external final end ends with an electrode to which a cable is connected, at least one portion of said cable being inserted in a key which is a hollow cylinder. Also disclosed is a laser apparatus suitable to house said lamp block and a method for extracting and housing said lamp block in said laser apparatus. In a preferred embodiment, said apparatus further comprise a system for electronic recognition.

摘要: A flash light source device includes a flash lamp, a wring board, and a power feeding unit. The flash lamp includes a sealed container provided with a light transmission window on one end face and having a discharge gas enclosed therein, a cathode and an anode to induce arc discharge in the sealed container, and lead pins projecting from the other end face of the sealed container. The wiring board has a principal surface and a back surface. The lead pins of the flash lamp arranged opposite to the principal surface are bonded so as to be fixed in an electrically conductive manner to the wiring board. The power feeding unit implements charge and discharge of an electric current to be supplied to the flash lamp. The power feeding unit has chip capacitors surface-mounted on the wiring board.

摘要: An induction RF fluorescent lamp includes a lamp envelope with a re-entrant cavity both covered on a partial vacuum side with phosphor and filled with a working gas mixture; an air-core power coupler on the non-vacuum side of said re-entrant cavity comprising a coil composed of at least one turn of an electrical conductor; an electronic ballast, wherein the ballast converts mains frequency voltage and current to a power coupler frequency voltage and current, the electronic ballast providing the voltage and current to the power coupler through at least two of a plurality of electrical terminals of the electronic ballast; and a capacitor electrically connected between the air-core power coupler and at least one of the plurality of electrical terminals of the electronic ballast, wherein the magnitude of the impedance of the capacitor is high at the mains frequency and the magnitude of the impedance of that same capacitor is low at the operating frequency of the RF fluorescent lamp.

摘要: A fluorescent lighting device includes an arc tube, an exhaust tube extending from the arc tube, and an amalgam. A resistive heater is located adjacent to at least one of the arc tube and the exhaust tube. A power supply circuit is operatively coupled with the resistive heater. When the fluorescent lighting device is switched from an OFF state to an ON state, the power supply circuit temporarily energizes the resistive heater, thereby heating the at least one of the arc tube and the exhaust tube while the resistive heater is energized, and automatically de-energizing the resistive heater after said heating.
