Abstract: An apparatus for prediction of the residual lifetime of an electrical system includes: an input unit; a processing unit; and an output unit. The input unit provides at least one sensor data from at least one sensor to the processing unit, the at least one sensor data including a measurement of at least one physical parameter of at least one component of an electrical system. Each sensor data is associated with a corresponding sensor and relates to a measurement of one physical parameter of a corresponding component of the electrical system. Each sensor data extends over a plurality of time windows and is assigned to a certain data class, such that sensor data at a particular time window has a value that falls into one of the data classes. For each sensor data the processing unit assigns the sensor data at each time window into a corresponding measurement window.

Abstract: A method for producing hydrogen using two types of electrolysis systems, the first having an active DC module and at least one first-type electrolyzer producing a first hydrogen output by using a first power from the active DC module, and the second electrolysis system having a passive DC module and at least one second-type electrolyzer producing a second hydrogen output by using a second power from the passive DC module. The method includes increasing the first hydrogen output and when it crosses a first predefined hydrogen output threshold, switching on the second electrolysis system and decreasing the first hydrogen output of the first electrolysis system to the first predefined hydrogen output threshold minus the second hydrogen output, so that an overall hydrogen output of the hydrogen production plant is a sum of the first hydrogen output and the second hydrogen output.

Abstract: The invention relates to an alkaline electrolyzer arrangement for producing hydrogen gas. Abstract: A system and method includes at least one temperature sensor, a processing unit, and an output unit. The temperature sensor acquires a temperature measurement at a first location of an operational device, which first location is in thermal contact with a second location of the operational device. The processing unit selects a simulated temperature distribution of the first location of a simulated device from a plurality of simulated temperature distributions of the first location and compares the temperature measurement with simulated temperature distributions of the first location, and determines whether a hot spot exists or is developing at the second location. The determination comprises utilization of a correlation between the simulated temperature distribution of the first location and the second location for the selected simulated temperature distribution of the first location of the simulated device.

Abstract: A system and method for monitoring a device includes a temperature sensor, a processing unit, and an output unit. The temperature sensor acquires a temperature measurement during a heat-up phase of a component and provides a temperature measurement to the processing unit, which selects a simulated transient temperature distribution of the simulated component of the simulated device from a plurality of simulated transient temperature distributions of the simulated component of the simulated device. The selection comprises a comparison of the at least one temperature measurement with the plurality of simulated transient temperature distributions at an equivalent time point in the simulated heat-up to a time point at which the temperature measurement was acquired. When a hot spot is developing an output unit outputs an indication of a fault associated with the component.

The output unit is configured to output information that a fault or load imbalance has occurred in a phase.

Abstract: A method for operating a plurality of electrolyzer-stacks includes determining a concentration of impurities, which is originated by a second reaction gas electrochemically produced at a second electrode type of each of the electrolyzer-stacks, within a first gas stream; generating a trigger signal if the concentration of the impurities of the second reaction gas within the merged first reaction gas exceeds a specific second reaction gas level; identifying at least one electrolyzer-stack out of the plurality of electrolyzer-stacks, which is low performing in respect to excessively feeding second reaction gas impurities into the first gas stream, by measuring a current density of at least one electrolyzer-stack of the plurality of electrolyzer-stacks, if the trigger signal is generated.
