摘要: A method is provided for protection in a mixed power transmission line by controlling a switching device connected thereto through an Intelligent Electronic Device (IED). The mixed line has two or more sections with at least one overhead section (10A) and at least one underground section (10B), wherein every two consecutive sections are connected at a junction (10C). The method is implemented by the IED (14), which receives a signal from a measurement equipment. The IED detects a travelling wave from the signal, and determines a first peak of the travelling wave and at least one a peak width, a rise time and a discharge time of the first peak. The IED identifies the section with the fault based on a comparison of at least one of the peak width, the rise time and the discharge time with a corresponding threshold value of each junction, and controls the switching device based on the comparison.

摘要: The present invention provides for a method for operating an electromagnetic flowmeter capable of being mounted on to a surface of a flow pipe for measuring a flow of fluid flowing in the flow pipe. The method comprising: exciting the coil to have electromagnetic interaction with the fluid in the flow pipe resulting in leakage current; providing a current to compensate for the resulting leakage current in the flow pipe by applying a potential difference to electrodes that are attached to a housing of the electromagnetic flowmeter and in contact with the flow pipe; detecting a condition wherein the resulting current flowing is within a threshold range; and determining a measure of flow in the flow pipe based on a value of the applied potential difference.

摘要: The invention provides a method and system for protection in response to a fault in a mixed line. The mixed line comprises two or more sections, with a first substation at a first end and a second substation at a second end. Every two consecutive sections of the mixed line are separated at a junction. The method is performed by an IED, and comprises obtaining one or more measurements of current at the first end, and one or more measurements of current at the second end. The method also comprises identifying a section of the two or more sections having the fault, by estimating a value of current for each junction and comparing the estimated value with the one or more measurements of current. In addition, the method comprises controlling a switching device based on the section identified with the fault.

摘要: The invention provides a method for identifying a sequence of events associated with a condition in a process plant using a control system. The method comprises recording process data, which is timestamped, and recording audio input from each personnel of a plurality of personnel of the process plant. The audio input is synchronized according to time with the process data. A keyword is identified from the temporally synchronized content of each audio input, and compared with the process information of one or more of an event and an equipment, for identifying at least one of a new process information and a supplementary process information related to the condition. One or more of the new process information and the supplementary process information identified for each keyword, and the plurality of events identified from the process data, are used for identifying the sequence of events associated with the condition.
