    摘要: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems, methods, and computer readable media for probing alarm functionality at a premises. In a particular embodiment, a method provides, in response to activation of an audible alarm, obtaining audio information captured by a first communication device of a plurality of communication devices positioned throughout the premises. The method further provides determining whether the audio information indicates that the alarm is functioning properly and determining a first position of the premises where the first communication device is located. When the audio information indicates that the alarm is not functioning properly, the method provides indicating that the alarm is not functioning properly at the first position.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for identifying a sequence of events associated with a condition in a process plant using a control system. The method comprises recording process data, which is timestamped, and recording audio input from each personnel of a plurality of personnel of the process plant. The audio input is synchronized according to time with the process data. A keyword is identified from the temporally synchronized content of each audio input, and compared with the process information of one or more of an event and an equipment, for identifying at least one of a new process information and a supplementary process information related to the condition. One or more of the new process information and the supplementary process information identified for each keyword, and the plurality of events identified from the process data, are used for identifying the sequence of events associated with the condition.

    摘要: A video and radio controlled remote device control system including at least one moving and talking remote device is presented. Standard video tapes used .in cameras or to home record TV programs have unused space on which data can be stored. This space may be called the vertical interval space. Appropriate digital control data is recorded in this unused vertical interval space. The encoded signal is played when the tape plays and is detected by a control box coupled between the VCR and the television. The control box generates an RF (radio) signal as a function of the encoded signal. A radio receiver in at least one, and possibly substantially more than one device receives the signal and as a function thereof generates selected voice and/or other sounds and mechanical control signals. Each device has a plurality of motors. Selected motors are controlled as a function of response to the transmitted signals. One practical example of a combination of the devices could be small characters singing, dancing or moving in concert with and controlled by a video tape of a child's movie.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus for the recording and playback of animation control signals, including voice, are disclosed. In accordance with the method, a dual track cassette recording is made, one track consisting of a voice channel and the other track consisting of a plurality of control signals for the control of animation, and in some instances for control of the speaker or speakers through which the voice channel will be played back, whereby two or more animated characters may appear to speak to each other or speak or sing in unison are disclosed. The control signals are pulse width modulated signals to provide, in general, proportional control signals to provide proportional control, through appropriate servo motors and the like, of the animated elements such as mouth, eyes, etc. of the animated character. The pulse width modulated signals, together with a sync signal, are recorded directly on a cassette tape without modulation on a carrier frequency, despite the varying unsymmetrical wave forms, thereby allowing the compaction of a substantial number of control signals within the frequency band of reasonably priced playback units.
