Abstract: Provided are: a novel nucleating agent capable of imparting excellent transparency to synthetic resins; a synthetic resin composition containing the same; and a molded object of the synthetic resin composition. Abstract: Provided are: a resin composition in which a resin component has a reduced crystallinity; and a molded article of the same. The resin composition contains a polyolefin-based resin and a nucleating agent. In this resin composition, the nucleating agent is a nucleating agent that melts at a temperature 150° C. higher than the melting point of the polyolefin-based resin, or a nucleating agent that dissolves in the polyolefin-based resin at a temperature 150° C. higher than the melting point of the polyolefin-based resin; the nucleating agent, when added in an amount of 0.2 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin-based resin, increases the crystallization temperature of the polyolefin-based resin by at least 7° C.; and the nucleating agent is contained in an amount of 0.005 parts by mass or more but less than 0.1 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyolefin-based resin.
