The copolymer of the present invention is a copolymer comprising units based on ethylene, units based on tetrafluoroethylene, and units based on compound A represented by CH═CX(CF2)nY (wherein X and Y are each independently a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom, and n is an integer of from 2 to 6) or compound B represented by CF2═CF—O—C3F7, wherein the crystal lamella thickness determined by the small angle X-ray scattering method is at most 4.0 nm and the melting point is at least 245° C.

Abstract: The present invention provides a crosslinkable fluororesin composition with which it is possible to obtain a molded body, a crosslinked molded body, and a coated wire which have excellent heat resistance and are less likely to have a problem of staining. A crosslinkable fluororesin composition according to the present invention comprises: a fluororesin having a unit based on ethylene and a unit based on tetrafluoroethylene, is melt-moldable, and has a melting point of 210° C. or higher; a crosslinking agent having a plurality of unsaturated carbon bonds; and an antioxidant having at least one of a phenol group and a phosphorus atom and has a molecular weight 10 of 600 or more. A molded body, a crosslinked molded body, and a coated wire according to the present invention are obtained from the crosslinkable fluororesin composition according to the present invention.

Abstract: To provide a method for producing a fluorinated polymer which does not require an emulsifier as an essential component while an aqueous medium with little environmental burden is used. A method for producing a fluorinated polymer, which comprises polymerizing at least one fluorinated polymer selected from tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene and vinylidene fluoride, in an aqueous medium in the presence of a specific polymer having at least one type of units selected from units based on a compound represented by the formula (1) and units based on a compound represented by the formula (2) to produce a fluorinated polymer (provided that when tetrafluoroethylene is polymerized, tetrafluoroethylene is polymerized so that the content of units based on tetrafluoroethylene in the fluorinated polymer becomes less than 99 mass % to all units in the fluorinated polymer):

A method for producing a fluorinated polymer, which comprises polymerizing at least one fluorinated monomer selected from tetrafluoroethylene, chlorotrifluoroethylene and vinylidene fluoride, in an aqueous medium in the presence of a first polymer having units based on a compound represented by the following formula (1): CXY═CR1-L-R2 (1) wherein X and Y are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a methyl group, R1 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a C1-3 alkyl group, L is —CO—O—*, —O—CO—* or —O—, provided that * represents the binding position to R2, and R2 is a cyclic alkyl group, a monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group or a C1-6 linear alkyl group, provided that the C1-6 linear alkyl group as R2 may have an etheric oxygen atom in a carbon-carbon bond, and the hydrogen atom in the cyclic alkyl group, the monovalent aromatic hydrocarbon group or the C1-6 linear alkyl group as R2 may be replaced with a halogen atom.
