    Abstract: Nylons are conventionally prepared by the condensation polymerization of diamines with dibasic acids. If there is incorporated into the polymerization charge from about 0.1 to 100 moles per 10,000 moles of conventional dibasic acid; a diacid, diester, diamide diacid chloride or diamidediamine of a fusedring, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon having at least three fused rings, the thereby resulting nylon is fluorescent.
