    摘要： Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a transmission spool valve/valve body arrangement facilitating the manufacturing of the valve body chambers accommodating the spool valves. Specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure provides a valve body having a common datum from which machining for each valve cavity formed through a particular face of a valve body can be referenced. In particular embodiments of the disclosure, a spring biases a solenoid assembly for each valve against a datum (common or otherwise). In more particular embodiments of the disclosure, the spring biases the solenoid assembly in a direction opposite to the direction of actuation of the spool valve upon actuation of the solenoid assembly. The spring bias positively displaces the solenoid assembly to the datum for precision location of the solenoid relative to the various hydraulic ports of the respective valve chamber. A variety of spring clip arrangements are provided to index the solenoid to the valve body.

In some embodiments, the electrified axle assembly may include two output shafts, with each output shaft meshed with a corresponding one of the idler shafts and a corresponding one of the axles. In other embodiments, the electrified axle assembly may include a single output shaft meshed with each of the idler shaft and each axle. Additional single motor and single and dual speed embodiments are also disclosed.

    摘要： A dog clutch operable to bypass a variator of a transmission is disclosed. The dog clutch includes a housing engaged with an input ring of the variator. The dog clutch also includes a piston engaged with the housing and movable from a first position in which the piston is disengaged from an output ring of the variator to a second position in which the piston is engaged with the output ring. The variator input ring and output ring are locked together when the dog clutch is in the second position to prevent the variator from producing continuously variable torque output. The variator is operable to produce continuously-variable torque output when the dog clutch is in the first position.
