摘要: A failsafe multimode clutch assembly positioned in a powertrain of a rotorcraft. The clutch assembly includes a freewheeling having a driving mode in which torque applied to the input race is transferred to the output race and an overrunning mode in which torque applied to the output race is not transferred to the input race. A bypass assembly has an engaged position that couples the input and output races of the freewheeling unit. An actuator assembly uses pressurized lubricating oil to shift the bypass assembly between the engaged position and a disengaged position. A lock assembly enables and disables actuation of the bypass assembly. In the disengaged position, the overrunning mode of the freewheeling unit enables a unidirectional torque transfer mode of the clutch assembly. In the engaged position, the overrunning mode of the freewheeling unit is disabled such that the clutch assembly is configured for bidirectional torque transfer.

摘要: A coupling comprises at least two inter-connected torque couplings. Each torque coupling includes a pair of clutch end members, a clutch centre member disposed between the clutch end members, and an actuator coupled to one of the end members. The end members and the centre member each includes a set of concentric V-grooves each disposed on a respective face thereof. The centre member is axially movable between the end members. The actuator is configured to simultaneously couple the end members to the centre member by engaging the V-grooves of both of the respective end members with the V-grooves of the centre member. The centre member of one of the torque couplings comprises one of the opposing surfaces of the one torque coupling, another of the opposing surfaces of the one torque coupling and one of the end members of another of the torque couplings.

摘要: A meshing-type engagement device includes a first member, a second member, a pressing mechanism, and a reaction force mechanism. The first member is provided with a plurality of first dog teeth. The second member is provided with a plurality of second dog teeth. The pressing mechanism is configured to press the first member to the second member side. The reaction force mechanism is configured to generate a reaction force with respect to a pressing force pressing the first member for the first dog teeth and the second dog teeth to mesh with each other such that the amount of increase in the reaction force with respect to a movement of the first member is larger at a position further on the second member side than a predetermined position compared to the amount of increase to the predetermined position when the first member is pressed.

摘要: A torque transmitting mechanism for a transmission includes a first and a second rotating member, a rotating piston, a stationary piston, and a first bearing. The rotating piston is rotatably connected to the first rotating member and includes a splined end. The stationary piston is disposed in a stationary housing of the transmission. The stationary piston and the stationary housing form a hydraulic fluid piston apply chamber. The first bearing is disposed between the rotating piston and the stationary piston. The splined end of the second rotating member is axially aligned and configured to engage with the splined end of the rotating piston.

摘要: In a hydraulic system with a dog clutch (23-25), a hydraulically operated dog clutch actuator is arranged to alternatively bring the dog clutch into a connect mode or a disconnect mode. The clutch actuator has a piston (27) reciprocally movable under hydraulic pressure between two end positions, corresponding to the two clutch modes. Pressurized hydraulic oil is supplied to the clutch actuator by a hydraulic power system comprising a pump (4) driven by an electric motor (3). Means are provided in the clutch actuator to decrease the hydraulic pressure acting on the piston (27) at the approaching by the piston of either of its end positions, so that a hydraulic signal is transmitted back to the hydraulic power system.
