Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for detecting rubbing and/or contact points on machines with rotating parts. The rotating parts form an electrical coaxial system with respect to the stationary parts of such a machine, in which system electrical voltage pulses are propagated at a characteristic speed because of the small distance between the rotating and the stationary part. Short electrical voltage pulses and/or continuous alternating voltage signals are applied between the rotating part and the stationary part, an electrical connection occurring between the rotating and the stationary part at a rubbing and/or contact point. In order to locate this rubbing and/or contact point as a point of electrical discontinuity, the period of time until the reflected pulses arrive is measured along the path of propagation of the electrical voltage pulses and/or of the continuous alternating voltage signals.
Abstract:
A method for measuring a stator core of an electrical machine includes the steps of winding at least one excitation coil around the stator core, applying a discontinuous voltage to the excitation coil(s) to magnetically excite the stator core, and measuring a quantity of the magnetically excited stator core. Further, a corresponding measuring device is disclosed.
Abstract:
An excitation device for high-energy tests of stator cores of electric generators or motors is disclosed. The excitation device includes one or more excitation modules. Each excitation module includes an excitation winding and a power supply configured to drive an excitation current through the excitation winding which contributes to the overall excitation of the stator core. The excitation module further includes a capacitor. The power supply of the excitation module acts as current source at its output.
Abstract:
A device for measuring a magnetic field in an air-gap between a stator and a rotor of an electric machine includes a probe to detect the magnetic field and generate a signal indicative thereof and a display unit for the signal. The probe includes a plurality of sensors.
