    Abstract: A method for operating a steam power plant at low load is suggested comprising the extraction of live steam LS before the last superheater SH3 and/or resuperheated steam before the last resuperheater RSH2 and using the thermal energy of this steam in other heat sinks. Thus, nearly constant steam parameters of the live steam LS are achieved and the overall efficiency of the steam power plant remains at a high level.

    Abstract: In a system for effecting pressure control in a thermal power plant operated at low load connected fluidly in series, a relief conduit is disclosed herein. The relief conduit selectively transfers steam from a cold reheat conduit to the second extraction conduit. The plant further includes a boiler, a high-pressure turbine, an intermediate pressure turbine, a low pressure turbine, a main steam conduit for feeding steam from the boiler to an inlet of the high pressure turbine, a cold reheat conduit for feeding steam from an outlet of the high-pressure turbine through a reheat flow path in the boiler, and a first and second high pressure heaters. A first extraction conduit connects the cold reheat conduit to a first high pressure heater to transfer heat, and a second extraction conduit connects the intermediate pressure turbine to the second high pressure heater, to transfer heat.

    Abstract: The once-through boiler includes a water supply and at least an economizer, an evaporator superheater. No valves are provided between the economizer, the evaporator and the superheater. The high-pressure turbine includes a control valve. The method for low load operation of a power plant with a once-through boiler and a high pressure turbine includes providing a parameter indicative of the stable operation of the once-through boiler in once-through operation, and on the basis of this parameter adjusting the control valve in order to regulate the pressure within the economizer and evaporator and/or adjusting the temperature of the water supplied to the economizer.
