摘要： A furnace for vacuum-pressure-sintering has a furnace chamber which is enclosed in and insulated from a surrounding pressure chamber. The pressure chamber includes a bottom projecting into it at the lower end and has at the upper end a charging opening and a lid projecting into the charging opening. A housing can be applied over the charging opening and connected to a vacuum pump during the part of the operating cycle when the pressure in the furnace is to be below atmospheric pressure. The lid is formed of an outer annular part and an inner part, separate from each other, the outer annular part remaining in position when the inner part is removed. A heat radiation protection ring is provided for insertion into the opening into the annular part when the annular part is raised. A lifting device for the lid is provided inside the housing.

摘要： A process for treating products with high pressure includes a high pressure cylinder with end closures projecting thereinto and a press stand. The supply of pressure medium is made through one end closure which includes a cylindrical unit with an axial and a radial channel, applied in an axially arranged recess in the end closure and sealed to the recess at its inner part and a second cylindrical unit with an axial chamber which is applied in a recess perpendicular to the axial recess and connected to the first unit. This permits the units to be readily interchanged if any part of the unit cracks under the high pressure.

摘要： A press for hydrostatic extrusion includes a press stand and a high pressure cylinder displaceable in the stand. A punch is mounted for movement into the high pressure cylinder to produce the extrusion pressure therein. The billet and die are positioned by a manipulating arrangement between the open end of the high pressure cylinder and a die support, and the cylinder is moved over the billet and die. Pressure fluid is then introduced through the die support and die into the pressure chamber, flow of the fluid out of the chamber being prevented by a valve arrangement or by seating of the billet against the die. The punch is then advanced into the pressure cylinder to produce extrusion.
