Abstract: A method and device are disclosed from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE). In one embodiment, the UE initiates a Small Data Transmission (SDT) procedure in RRC_INACTIVE state. Furthermore, the UE transmits a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message to network in response to arrival of a first data, to be transmitted to the network, during the SDT procedure, wherein the first data is not allowed to be transmitted via the SDT procedure.

The method also includes the UE performing paging monitoring in a second serving cell associated with the second USIM. The method further includes the UE transmitting, to a network node associated with the second USIM, information related to at least one of the paging monitoring performed in the first serving cell or the paging monitoring performed in the second serving cell.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE initiates a first Early Data Transmission (EDT) in RRC_INACTIVE state. Responsive to initiating the first EDT, the UE initiates a Random Access (RA) procedure in a cell configured with a normal uplink (NUL) carrier and a supplementary uplink (SUL) carrier. The UE selects the SUL carrier or the NUL carrier for performing the RA procedure based on at least one of whether there are one or more available Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) resources for EDT on the SUL carrier or whether there are one or more available PRACH resources for EDT on the NUL carrier.

Abstract: A method for a wireless communications system is disclosed. In one example, user equipment (UE) (e.g. a mobile phone) receives an indication from a network (for example, by way of a transmission and reception point (TRP)) indicating whether a first transmission and a second transmission to the UE can be combined for decoding. The UE also receives the first transmission via a first UE beam and the second transmission via a second UE beam. The first transmission and the second transmission are received concurrently. The first and second transmissions can arrive via different serving beams and/or different TRPs of the same cell. Based on the indication, the UE combines the first and second transmissions for decoding purposes.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for triggering a beam state information report by a user equipment in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, a user equipment measures multiple beam reference signals of non-serving beams from a cell and derives multiple values from measurements. The UE derives a first value, wherein the first value is a highest value, a lowest value, or an average value of the multiple values. The UE triggers to report a measurement result for a beam reference signal if at least one condition is satisfied, wherein the condition is based on comparing the first value to a threshold.
