Abstract: In an embodiment, a system and method permit a network subscriber to display on a channel of the network video data from a subscriber video database. The system may include, in addition to the network and the subscriber database, a server and a set top box. The set top box is configured to receive commands causing the set top box to retrieve video data from a network subscriber database, display the video data on a display unit; and to transmit the video data over the network to the server. The server is configured to transmit the video data from the server over the network such that the video data is displayable on a channel of the network.
