Abstract: An electronic device configures a device-agnostic voice assistant library for execution on the electronic device based on the electronic device having a first device type. The electronic device also selects an implementation for the voice assistant library. After the configuring, the electronic device receives a verbal input from a user. It extracts request information from the verbal input by processing the verbal input using the voice assistant library executing on the device. It transmits a request to a remote system, the request including the extracted request information. The electronic device receives a response to the request. The response is generated by the remote system in accordance with the extracted request information. The electronic device performs an operation in accordance with the response by one or more voice processing modules of the configured voice assistant library.

Abstract: Various implementations described herein are directed to technologies for providing a software stack migration. A flash memory is provided. The flash memory includes a plurality of memory partitions. The plurality of memory partitions include at least two reserved memory partitions and a file system partition. A file system upgrade stored in one of the plurality of reserved memory partitions is provided. Partition sizes of the plurality of reserved memory partitions and the file system partition are changed in response to the provided file system upgrade.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to provide voice communication inoperative condition notifications are disclosed. An apparatus includes an error capture to: transmit a request to a voice over internet protocol processor that serves a first voice over internet protocol user and a second voice over internet protocol user, the request indicating that the error capture is to be subscribed to receive voice over internet protocol notifications from the voice over internet protocol processor; and a notifier to: determine a voice over internet protocol user identifier associated with a first notification; determine a video distribution system user identifier associated with the voice over internet protocol user identifier; and transmit a third notification to the video distribution system, the third notification instructing the video distribution system to cause an indication of the first notification to be presented on a video presentation device associated with the video distribution system user identifier.

Abstract: A method is implemented to move media content display between two media output devices. A server system determines in a voice message recorded by an electronic device a media transfer request that includes a user voice command to transfer media content to a destination media output device and a user voice designation of the destination media output device. The server system then obtains from a source cast device instant media play information including information of a media play application, the media content that is being played, and a temporal position. The server system further identifies a destination cast device associated in a user domain coupled to the destination media output device, and sends to the destination cast device a media play request including the instant media play information, thereby enabling the destination cast device to execute the media play application for playing the media content from the temporal location.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for generation of interactive programming. An interactive programming server embeds interactive components into a video signal. The interactive programming server receives content from a content source and interactive components from an interactive component source and uses the content and interactive components to generate an interactive Video On Demand (iVOD) interactive program. The iVOD interactive program is transmitted to a participant who views the content and interacts with the interactive components of the iVOD interactive program. The participant's responses to the content is transmitted back to the interactive programming server where the participant responses are incorporated into new content which is used to generate new iVOD interactive programming.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for receiving content. The method includes receiving a first service, by a receiver of a reception apparatus, the first service providing first content and first metadata associated with the first content. The first content is encoded in one of a plurality of formats decodable by the reception apparatus. The table includes codec mode information for a plurality of different services, which includes the first service.
