摘要： A method for performing a tool change in a machine tool for machining workpieces, which is provided with a table for clamping workpieces, disposed on a machine frame, with a support on which one vertical or horizontal main spindle is disposed, and with a tool magazine, wherein the tool change is performed at a first peripheral location of the tool magazine which faces the main spindle which is movable in relation to the tool magazine. To achieve the readying of a tool subsequently to be employed without double grippers and without a spread magazine, with short chip-to-chip times and with kinematics which are simplified in regard to construction and control at the same time, at least a first empty position in the tool magazine is provided which is directly adjacent to the position receiving the tool to be used next, a tool is removed from the tool magazine, that this tool is temporarily stored in the area of this second peripheral location, that the tool change is performed directly with the aid of the main spindle in such a way that the already employed tool is deposited in the first empty position of the tool magazine and the tool to be used, which is adjacent to this, is taken from the tool magazine, and that subsequently the temporarily stored tool is again deposited in the second empty location generated in this way.

摘要： A movable column is adjustable longitudinally and transversely in controlled fashion on a machine bed which defines a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction. A tool spindle is adjustable in controlled fashion on the movable column along a spindle axis normal to both the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction. A clamping axis is defined by a tool support which is rotationally adjustable in controlled fashion about this clamping axis and includes a clamping device through which a material rod can be pushed and in which it can be clamped. A front portion of the material rod, presenting the workpiece to be machined, is disposed within the working range of the tool spindle. A supply device is provided for pushing the material rod through the clamping device. The workpiece support is pivotable in controlled fashion about a pivot axis, normal to both the clamping axis and the spindle axis, in an area which reaches at least from a position of the clamping axis normal to the spindle axis to a position of the clamping axis parallel to the spindle axis. The machine bed includes a pivot space into which the end portion of the material rod remote from the workpiece to be machined can be swung. The supply device is movable into a position at which it does not obstruct the pivoting movement of the material rod.

摘要： The secure electronic distribution of research documents over the world wide web to investors who are authorized to receive said research documents. A repository server receives research documents from contributors. Also received are corresponding document profiles with information relating to each research document including authorization information specifying who is permitted to access each research document. The repository server includes a first database for structured query searches and a second database for full text searches. A web server is coupled to the repository server and coupled to the world wide web. The web server receives requests from investors for research documents that satisfy a query. The web server determines whether the first database or the second database should be searched based upon the type of query. The repository server transmits to the web server a list of research documents that satisfy the query and which the investor is authorized to access according to the authorization information. The web server formats the list of documents according to a template form. Optionally, queries can be optimized. The system has a control mechanism to prevent concurrent unauthorized access by two people using the same ID/password combination.
