摘要: A head-mounted display device may display a holographic element with a portable control device. Image data of a physical environment including the control device may be received and used to generate a three dimensional model of at least a portion of the environment. Using position information of the control device, a holographic element is displayed with the control device. Using the position information, it is determined that the control device is within a predetermined proximity of either a holographic object or a physical object. Based on determining that the control device is within the predetermined proximity, the displayed holographic element is modified.

摘要: Customizing frames for augmented reality devices includes receiving a fit profile of a user and selecting a stock frame from a set of different frame sizes. The selected stock frame may be a size that is a closer match to the fit profile than other frame sizes in the set, and the stock frame may be adjusted to create a modified frame that provides a closer match to the fit profile than the stock frame. A see-through display may be coupled to the modified frame.

摘要: A ruggedized, compact personal information appliance apparatus and process of manufacture is disclosed. The apparatus discloses an information appliance surrounded by an encapsulation element. The encapsulation element isolates predetermined exterior portions of the appliance from a predetermined set of environmental conditions. The process of manufacturing discloses: identifying a predetermined set of environmental conditions; identifying a predetermined set of structures on the appliance, which are to be protected from the environmental conditions; selecting an encapsulation element which can protect the appliance from the environmental conditions; and surrounding the set of structures with the encapsulation element.

摘要: A headband is disclosed for supporting a head-worn device with a comfortable and non-intrusive fit. In examples, the headband includes first and second loops supporting the headband on a wearer's head, and an adjustment mechanism for tightening the first and second loops. The adjustment mechanism tightens down the loops to a desired fit, at which point further actuation of the adjustment mechanism has no effect on the loops.

Each of the different components may be selected from a component set including at least two or more differently-sized versions of each different component. The head-mounted display device also includes a modular see-through display sub-assembly including one or more mountings for selectably coupling the modular see-through display sub-assembly to the modular frame assembly. The modular see-through display sub-assembly may be configured to couple to any combination of differently-sized versions of different components of the modular frame assembly.
