摘要： An occupant protection apparatus protects an occupant sitting on a seat adjacent to a side door of a vehicle when a side collision or a rollover occurs. The occupant protection apparatus includes a push-up device for pushing up a part of a hip portion of the occupant adjacent to the side door when the side collision or the rollover occurs. In the occupant protection apparatus, when the side collision of the vehicle occurs, the push-up device pushes up the part of the occupant's hip to tilt an upper body of the occupant away from the side door. It is preferable that the push-up device includes an inflatable bag and a gas generator for inflating the bag.

摘要： A curtain airbag includes a curtain airbag main body and a tie panel. The tie panel is arranged on an opposite-interior surface of the curtain airbag main body and is connected to the curtain airbag main body at upper and lower portions of the tie panel. The curtain airbag main body includes first and second panels. At an overlapping area of the curtain main body and the tie panel, the first and second panels are coupled with each other by linear coupling portions which are radially extend toward four directions so as to form four inflation portions. A communication portion communicates two of the four inflation portions with each other. When the curtain airbag main body is inflated, a space is formed between the communication portion and the tie panel.

摘要： An airbag apparatus includes an airbag to be deployed and inflated in a passenger protection area between a vehicle passenger and a vehicle side wall portion in case of vehicle accident. The airbag has a head chamber for protecting a head of a vehicle passenger and a chest chamber for protecting a chest portion of the passenger. A gas supply device is provided for simultaneously supplying gas to the head chamber and the chest chamber. A pressure adjusting device adjusts an internal pressure of the head chamber to a level higher than an internal pressure of the chest chamber at the time of deployment and inflation of the airbag.

An airbag 2 is provided in a manner so as to cover a waistline and both shoulders of the wearer. An inside of the airbag 2 is partitioned into a plurality of cells 2a by means of that an inner panel 3 constituting a first surface on a wearer side of the airbag 2 and an outer panel 4 constituting a second surface on an opposite side to the wearer is partially stitched by means of a line-shaped stitching portion 6. Each of the cells 2a is formed to have a shape extending in a body height direction of the wearer. Thereby, the airbag 2 is brought to be expanded along an outer surface of a body portion of the wearer as a whole.

The gas distributor has a gas-distributing connecting line extending substantially linearly for connecting the occupant side surface and the opposite side surface of the airbag.
