The present invention discloses a deployment guide mechanism including a guide wire fixed to one side of a roof portion and provided in the lengthwise direction in which the roof airbag deploys, a guide housing fixed to the other side of the roof portion, a stopper supported in the guide housing and coupled to an end of the guide wire in a threaded coupling structure, and an elastic member providing an elastic restoring force to the stopper in the lengthwise direction of the guide wire toward the other side of the roof portion.

摘要： An airbag system includes an airbag having a main portion having a first periphery. The main portion is inflatable in an inflation direction to a first thickness. An extension extends from the main portion and has a second periphery spaced from the first periphery. The extension is inflatable in the inflation direction to a second thickness. The first periphery and the second periphery define a gap therebetween. A depression is disposed between the main portion and the extension at the gap and the depression has a third thickness in the inflation direction less than the first thickness and the second thickness. The extension and the depression may receive a head of an occupant during an oblique impact, in which the head of the occupant may avoid the main portion of the airbag.

摘要： An airbag is deployed and inflated by inflating gas discharged from a plurality of gas discharge portions. The airbag is divided into a plurality of inflation chambers. At least one of the inflation chambers is an independent inflation chamber that restricts flow of inflation gas to and from adjacent ones of the inflation chambers. Two or more of the inflation chambers including the independent inflation chamber are discharge inflation chambers, each including the gas discharge portion. The gas discharge portions include a first gas discharge portion that starts discharging the inflation gas at a first timing and a second gas discharge portion that starts discharging the inflation gas at a second timing, which differs from the first timing. The first discharge portion is arranged in at least one of the independent inflation chambers.

摘要： A side curtain airbag for a vehicle includes a serial main chamber that inflates and deploys along an interior side surface of the vehicle; a protruding chamber disposed at a front side of the main chamber to further protrude toward an interior of the vehicle relative to the main chamber; and a cutting line arranged between the main chamber and the protruding chamber to partially separate the protruding chamber from the main chamber such that the protruding chamber overlaps with a portion of the main chamber upon non-inflation of the airbag. In this configuration, upon a vehicle collision, the head portion of the occupant is prevented early from being ejected toward the front of the vehicle.

摘要： In the side airbag device, in an inflation and deployment state of the side airbag, a tension cloth extendingly disposed across between a front-rear partition and a rear end of the rear bag section is stretched, thereby restricting inflation in the vehicle front-rear direction of the rear bag section. An inflating width in a vehicle width direction of the rear bag section can be increased without significantly changing a position in the vehicle front-rear direction of the front-rear partition. In a flat developed state of the side airbag, the tension cloth is extendingly disposed across between the front-rear partition so folded into two as to protrude toward the rear bag section, and the rear end of the rear bag section. Accordingly, dimensions of each component can be so defined as to cause no redundancy in the rear bag section in the flat developed state, thus compactly folding the side airbag.
